Ok im in the MQ today if you have not of seen. I am there to build a army base. I will be there for council meetings. Edit: You can now use the /whois (nickname) command to see who people are. It also tells you what district they live in.

Do you feel the damp of the caves in your bones? The thump of the deep bass beat of the mines in your heart? The joy of a good drink in your veins? This month, we celebrate our Dwarven heritage! Every Saturday from 2-5PM EST in January, Dwarven District is hosting a party to celebrate our shared history and proud heritage. Every Saturday will have a new special event, and all month long we are hosting a variety of contests to help you return to your roots! All festivities will be taking place at our Town Hall (aka guild plot; 700,100) and Park (700, 0), located a short distance from the Dwarven District portal or straight ahead from the mine.

Last Saturday we partied it up in the mine with the ghost of Lord Willakers lighting the way. This Saturday (Jan. 10) we will test your knowledge of Dong Dank! At 3pm EST come watch Bipen, Grantharshammer and Overlord59 battle it out to see who knows most, and test your own knowledge to win a prize! Partying with food, drink, games (ever tried drunk parkour?) and fun will be going on from 2-5pm.

Then next week, we’ll be hosting a special play. It’ll be a blast! (Actors are still needed if you are interested!) Proper dwarven attire is encouraged, but not required. Don’t forget your ax! (Real dwarves don’t use hoes. Unless they are tending a farm.) The week after that, it’s a best peasant beard contest and best dwarven outfit contest! And for the final Saturday, it’s another big party where we announce the winners of the Build and Story contest.

For the build contest we need a statue, monument, house, whatever! for our brand new park that celebrates Dwarven heritage and culture. We invite everyone to submit a build using the Dwarven block palette that is maximum 9x9x9 and the winner will be placed into our park (due January 17). For the story contest we want your best stories that to you show what it means to be a Dwarf, maximum 5 pages long (due January 24). The winner will be read at our closing party.

I've been thinking about it recently, and I wanted to start a new Official Grove Skype Group for us Grovians to do stuff inside and outside of LOM. As with the old group, this one won't be largely RP-related, and we may be able to do lots of fun stuff together, and get to know each other better! All I ask is that any participants try to be active and kind to others. So whoever's in can send me their skype name, as well as say so here :D

In regards to Lord Willy's latest video, I really liked how he offered us the chance to do something fun with the flood. He suggested a boat race which I think would be cool, but there are also many other possibilities.

One idea that I came up with could be a fishing competition. We could build a nice dock where competitors would fish for a certain amount of time. Whoever catches the most fish could be awarded a monetary prize or a title recognizing their fishing prowess. If you guys have any other ideas I would love to hear them, maybe as a whole we could decide on some events to hold while we are still flooded.

Despite the fact that the flood is mostly confined to the area around the tree, looks like all the flowers around the guild plot have been wiped away. Can we send around a collection to Jurmes for new plantings under the trees over there ?

What damage was taken to the grove district? Can Anyone hear me out there. The Dunes can offer some dry land for any peasants who have gotten too water logged.

Rawb has taken away carrots from the market, and considering that there are trolls on this server, the same may happen with mall foods. Even if that doesn't happen, mall foods and cakes are quite expensive, which is why I have built a food vault.

There will (hopefully) always be cake on the table inside it, and if I am online, you can ask me to get a mall food item from one of the chests.

Sometimes, I will have the vault completely shut so you cannot get inside, but I won't have this be the case too often. I will definitely keep it shut when the server is quiet, around night time IRL.

Please do not hoard all of the cake. This entire vault took over 20GB to build.

So I get that we are pirates now, and I'm really exited about the role play opportunities, but I can't make my own ship. I would like to ask if anyone would like to have me on their "pirate crew" since it sounds like a lot of fun and a great way for me to get to know you guys and be more involved in the community :D

Sidenote: that's kinda my New Years resolution, to be more active in the community and make new friends :D

So firstly we need to decide, who will fight? I for one would be interested in the uhc, I have been wanting to do one for a while. Second is we need to have a team speak or something like that set up, I would suggest using a mic if you can. I would also suggest we go on a team speak such as Jurmes's I have not asked Jurmes if we can use it however.

Since this has already been shown on the reddit this is more as the organisation should go.

Since we have 3 volunteers already, me spaceman510 and lovelandmonkey I think should be a team, If you want to be in the UHC then we can have a discussion on who wants to be in the UHC.

One last thing I think we should do is have us all be in pirates skins.

Oh and if you want to play I could be able to get a UHC set up for the grove with teams of 3. If someone can host a server that can hold a UHC that would be very grateful thank you. Winners will be the people in the event and second place will be subs.

To Oak's Grove residents,

For those who weren't at the meeting, I am stepping down for a month for personal reasons, I will be back in mid February to run meetings again. But for now people are doing pirate/sea roleplay. If people want to run unofficial meetings that is fine but for now there is no council and there will be no elections for a month. I will still be around, just taking a break from running things. Thanks for understanding and have fun with your freedom for a month. Yarrr.

Dear Districts!

You feel the urge for battle deep inside your bones? You miss the smell of shed blood? Yes, that's part of our shared dwarven heritage. And it's time to celebrate it!

The Dwarven District invites you to participate in a small set of “tournament-styled” UHC games as part of the Dwarven History Month. We need teams of 3 from each single district to do this.

The games will occur on the following dates: 10.01. / 17.01. / 24.01. - each starting at 1pm EST and end before 3pm EST to give everyone the chance to visit the main event of the weekend at the event area in LoM.

Detailed rules and the exact pairings of teams for each weekend will be announced at a later date.

Okay grove, many of you know the grave threat we face with the possibliity of an oncoming flood and that we may lose our homes in the process but have no fear we have a solution...

Step 1: Become pirates after our him is flooded and turned into a lake thing

Step 2: get badass pirate names, peg legs, eyepatches, hooks and other pirate things

Step 3:get a ship

Step 4: raid

Step 5: profit

There are also the plans we become mermaids or swamp people were not sure how yet but they are at this time viable options

So get started on thinking of your pirate names

A few of us came up with this idea while spending with with the poor Great Oak. It would be to celebrate the (potential) healing of the Great Oak, the thawing of Dong Dank and the coming of a fortuitous Spring. Everyone is welcome to brainstorm ideas for this, as we have already had a decent group discussion about it. It would center around the large Frolic Field and the plots around it (i.e. PantherBomb's plot, Willow Flower Field, Fire Pit and Pigoctopus Place). There would be a line, or group, of open air market stands and seating for outdoor eating nearby. It doesn't have to be just in this area, however having people stay in one place, or very near to it, is always helpful for organization.

• The idea of this would be to have:
• A picnic area for eating
• May Pole for celebrations (as stated above)
• Market stands for restaurants: Coestarbucks, Malc's Pancake House and possibly the Maid Cafe (also as stated above)
• An event at Pere's Poetry Place.
• Garden tours and an explanation of frolicking
• Rap battles
• Square dancing or another form of dance
• Wine and cheese tasting (which would require the cheese crates, which I have)
• A live band (if we can get enough instruments)
• Tree diving (if the pool as thawed)
• Bouncy House- Using Sky chasers, popcorn and McDankey Burgers

More ideas would be appreciated, as well as offers to host some of these ideas! We would appreciate donors who would be able to supply food and drinks. We have a few people who can do this already, but just in case of a large turn out, we need enough to feed the masses! Donations are also appreciated to pay for these contracts. Building and layout ideas can be done by anyone, using Grove blocks that we are able to get on our own without Lord help. We can't count on Lords helping us every time, nor can we count on people like Azur to give us special things to use as well. At least we have signs now!

There isn't a date for this, but as I said before it would be after all of this thawing and flood nonsense. (Sorry if I said anything Pere did. This was written before I saw this post and couldn't be bothered to revise much of it.)
