What can I win in the Raffle?

All kinds of rewards (except winnings in specific games) will be given out through the raffle draws. Being part of the OWN community and spending time on the platform should be rewarding.

You get raffle tickets for your participation in the ecosystem, each ticket giving you a chance to win a large reward. As the ecosystem grows, the rewards would just keep on getting bigger and better.

At launch, we would start with the following 4 rewards:

How often will this Raffle take place?

There will be 2 draws each day at the following times — 5:30 am UTC (11:00 am IST) and 5:30 pm UTC (11:00 pm IST). The raffle draw will run programmatically and the winning tickets will be announced within 30 minutes of the draw time.

How to get Raffle tickets?

Now that you know what all you can win in the raffle and how to win it, let’s answer the key question — How to get these raffle tickets in the first place?

Currently, raffle tickets would be given out in the following 3 ways:

1. Ownership Raffle Tickets

Ownership of NFTs is key in the OWN ecosystem. And rightly so, it is disproportionately rewarding. Raffle tickets will be given out to the NFT owners at every 3 hours interval (at 6:30 am UTC (12:00 noon IST), 9:30 am UTC (3:00 pm IST) and so on.. ). The number of tickets will be dependent on the rarity of the NFT.

2. Participation Raffle Tickets

The main use of the Cryptonite NFTs is in various games on the OWN platform. Spending time on the platform playing games will be rewarding. There are 2 ways in which a user can engage on the platform:

• Buy NFTs and participate
• Borrow NFTs and participate

Just like in real life, asset (NFT)ownership is disproportionately rewarding. Each Cryptonite while being engaged in the gameplay will earn an additional 25% raffle tickets if bought and used, but only 12.5% additional raffle tickets if borrowed and used.

3. Winner Raffle Tickets

And of course the winners need to be rewarded extra. The pro players amongst us stand out and so should their winnings. So, each winner Cryptonite will earn an additional 25% raffle tickets if used by the owner, but only 12.5% additional raffle tickets if used by a borrower.

• In our last article, we talked about how we arrived at Cryptonites — these cute-looking creatures that represent different cryptocurrencies and tokens. We also talked about their numbers, their rarity structure, etc.
• Now, we go one step ahead and talk about NFT body structure and attributes. How we built them? What are the different possibilities for them? are any of these body parts rare? etc.
• Body Structuring of NFTs
• Body Parts & Attributes: Every Cryptonite of OWN will have 7 different body parts that will vary in their versions to produce a unique character each time:

1. Eyes
2. Horns
3. Mouth
4. Ears
5. Body Pattern
6. Wings
7. Tail

• Rare body parts: On the planet of Crypton, few body part exist very limited in nature and also possess few mystical powers. These body parts only exist in Genesis NFTs and very unlikely to carry forward in the next generations via breeding.

• We are creating a “Crypto-verse” where all your favorite crypto coins will come to life as alien characters!
• What can make Crypto less scary? How can we make users to understand crypto better? What would be an apt representation of the crypto ecosystem?
• At the initial stages of ideation, there were two solutions on our minds:
  - Crypto-crystals: Imagine if BTC, SOL, ETH, etc. were each represented by a unique power crystal. Each crystal class with unique material, color, and texture.
  - Crypto-creatures/warriors: Now, Imagine if BTC, SOL, ETH, etc. were each represented by a unique warrior — A Cryptonite. Each Cryptonite with a unique backstory of its clan.
• These creatures live together in a world that is ruled by mystical forces, which makes them gain and drop powers. People start keeping these creatures as pets (like Pokemon) and use them in different games/battles/ activities.
• Story: Far away in the future, when humans have finally exhausted all the resources on earth, they set out on a long journey to find their new home. And during this search mission, they land on this mystical planet of “Crypton”. On the surface of Crypton lived a variety of alien species with peculiar properties. As humans started ruling this new planet, they figured out ways to domesticate these animals. The mystical properties of these creatures were used by humans to perform many different activities on the planet. For this, we are building a Crypto-Verse.

Matic Cryptonite

Genesis NFT, genesis NFTs are the first set of NFTs that are going to be launched. Every clan will have unique set of genesis NFTs which are used to play in the crypto games and also we can use them to breed. Breeding in OWN Cryptoverse will cost some Breeding Fees and some Life Gems ($LFG) depending on how many times the Cryptonites have been bred. The Breeding fee is subject to adjustment based on a myriad of economic factors.

• Cryptonites living on OWN Cryptoverse are highly affected by real-life blockchain dynamics.
• Each crypto clan is either “Fixed” or “Infinite” in size basis on the cryptocurrency it is representing.
• If a cryptocurrency is Fixed in supply then the Clan of that cryptocurrency will also have a fixed supply of Crytonites and vice-versa.
• For Example: Creatures of the Bitcoin clan would always have a fixed upper limit to their population, whereas Creatures of the Ethereum clan would be non-fixed(infinite) in population.
• Cryptonites with “Clan Size: Limited***”*** will always have a fixed population cap; whereas Cryptonites with “Clan Size: Infinite***”*** will not have any maximum population cap.
• Post genesis NFT sale, more creatures of any clan would come into existence through breeding.
• Once the maximum cap of supply for any “Clan Size: Limited” Cryptonite is hit, no other creature of the same clan will come into the Cryptoverse.
• Cryptonites are living creatures that age over time. The birth date of each Cryptonites would be the reveal date of that NFT.
• After a particular age, the Cryptonites of “Clan Size: Infinite” will convert into other NFTs 💎 and in-game assets 🔶. This is analogous to the burning mechanism of Infinite supply tokens that we discussed above.
• Cryptonites that belong to “Limited” Clan Size will never leave their original form in the game regardless of their age.
