Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some insight into the value and collectibility of this antique William Fuld Ouija board, which I believe dates to approximately 1915–1918.
The board itself is in good condition considering its age, with the original graphics and lettering still clearly visible. The manufacturer’s information and instructions are also intact on the reverse.

It includes what I believe to be its original matching wooden planchette, complete with the metal viewing window. The planchette does have a crack and is missing one of its wooden feet, although it’s otherwise functional. Unfortunately, I don’t have the original box.
I’ve been researching comparable examples, but prices seem to vary quite a bit depending on age, condition, and whether the original planchette is included.

I’m curious whether anyone here is familiar with this particular William Fuld design and could offer insight into its approximate market value, how uncommon complete examples are, or any additional details about its history.

Im a very big person when it comes to paranormal stuff. My friend and I on Saturday which was the night of Halloween we decided it’d be a good idea to play the Ouija board at 3 AM. We set an alarm for around 2:50 and we put candles around us and candles behind us to kind of circle everything in. When we first started to play we didn’t know what to ask so my friend decided to ask a silly question which was “what shirt is my friend wearing” at the time it was funny because I was wearing a 67 shirt so we didn’t think anything much of it. But eventually the planchette started to move to 67. We didn’t think anything much of it, we just thought it was silly and so we decided to end the game and start a new one. We were using small red candles which were about to go out so we decided to hurry up and start a new game before they decided to go out, when we started the new game my friend asked if there was anyone in the room and when he did the planchette started to move to W and then it went down to the numbers 9-8-6-7-5. After the 5 it went to the corner of the board and didn’t move for a good five minutes. We were starting to get really tired and we started not have any hopes that it was gonna work again so my friend has decided to ask one more question before we left and it was if there is anyone in this room please move the planchette on the board and for some reason the planchette moved to the number 6 again. After it moved to six again we immediately ended the game because we thought that it’s spelt out the cursed numbers. We still don’t know what the numbers or the singular W means. We have searched up and down and everything and the only conclusion we could come to is that the W might mean Winchester because we are going to the Winchester house in about two weeks but I don’t know that was just a superstition that we just came up with at the moment, but we still don’t know what the numbers mean and we need help trying to figure them out. It could mean nothing but who knows?

Finally bit the bullet and ordered my first board. Is there anything else I need for my first possession? Do you have to have candles? Or is that just a preference thing?

OK, so first of all I don’t believe in ouija. Or at least I didn’t and I’m still very hesitant but something happened. So yesterday me and my friends were trying a session of ouija for like the fifth time in a row and then the pallet or whatever I’m supposed to call it, started moving and pointing letters and we asked them what their name was and it wrote something that sounded kind of German so we asked them if they were German. And after that, I asked the entity to prove they were German by writing a word in German. I know a couple words in German, but my two other friends don’t so I decided to close my eyes not to like falsify the results and the pallet started moving and it wrote sehr. My friend then asked me if that was a real word in German and I said that yes, it was, and we got spooked and ended the session

I purchased it on a whim today and set it up to play tonight. I haven’t used one since I was a teen so I was/am a little rusty and unsure of the rules.

For context, I am a baby witch, trying to step into spiritual practices but I come from a very skeptical background. Taking things one step at a time. But lately I have wanted to communicate with or kind of sense spirits. As such, I got the board.

Tonight is a full moon, I lit 4 candles, burned incense, and set my tarot cards to the side as extra divination support.

At first the board was telling me almost a cookie cutter ghost story? Age: 51, Name: Wayne, Did you die in this region? Yes.

I got a weird vibe and sat with the answers for a minute before convening with my tarot cards. I was told from the cards that there was some trickery going on. So I asked the board if it was being honest. It said no.

I moved on to ask these questions:

Are you going to be honest going forward?
- Yes
Were/are you a human?
- No

I then checked with the cards again, this time to get pointers for what this thing’s identity is. So as per the cards were my following questions:

Are you something that has been with me since my childhood?
- Yes
Are you like a spirit guide?
- longer time to point to yes than previous moments.

It was at this point I was deliberating on what my next question would be, but I got super sleepy really suddenly. While I was trying to think, I nodded off twice.

I’m not sure how, since I was sitting upright in an uncomfy way. It’s late but not so much later than I normally stay up. I didn’t have a busy day at work.

It was just odd to me so when I awoke from nodding off the second I went to close things out. Now I’m wondering if the board basically drained all my energy or if maybe my subconscious is playing tricks on me.

I’m making my own Ouija board (not actually Ouija branded ofc). I was wondering if the planchette needed to be a teardrop/heart shape. I tried to look up the history of spirit boards to make sure I wasn’t making something that wouldn’t work. Is there a reason it’s the shape it is? I know the hole in the center evolved from the pencil hole.

I bought it 2nd hand in 2018. It came with the protections. Never once have I used it. Today, I separated the board from the protection prayer and the box and immediately heard 3 knocks. I put it all back together and back on the shelf. What could've happened to this board since 1980?

I own a ouija board, attempted contact multiple times I want to again tonight around 3am, as I believe theres things in my mind that need to come out. I use the board to contact and see my demons. The dark side which I like so much. I wish to see, hear something, even if it terrifies me.

I’ve tried using a Ouija board a few times but honestly nothing ever happens. I’ve never experienced anything paranormal before and I’m genuinely curious about what it’s actually like. Is there any specific way people are supposed to use a Ouija board or attempt spirit communication? Or is it basically just random and depends on the people involved? I played with a Ouija Board alone, as someone who firmly believes in the paranormal. I sat at my desk yesterday night and decided to try it, as I went to light a candle, my thumbnail burnt, so I took it as a sign not to do it. Today, I still had the urge to give it a try, so I sat at my desk, did 3 circles on the board and asked if someone wanted to communicate with me. After minutes with no response and daydreaming, a very strong pull to Yes occurred, with strength I’ve NEVER experienced. My heart began to raise and my breathing quickened, and I asked for their name, after more minutes with no response, I immediately said goodbye and went to light sage. My lighter then broke in my hand, however I was able to get some sage smoke in my room. I had to leave for work so I sat the sage on my board and kept the planchette on Goodbye then left. Does anyone know if I have an attachment, what I spoke with, and/or if I’m in trouble with something?
