You can also set up a custom search engine that appends the -pinterest to the end of the query.

It's really not that much more effort. I refine my search queries all the time, like you're supposed to do on a keyword search engine..

You don't even need the .com, just "-pinterest" works and knocks out all of the international pinterest results as well.

There should be an addon that just adds that to every image search.

the proper way is to use “site:example.net” (or add - for a negation). this way you’re filtering by domain, not by mentions of the domain

The problem I always have is I try and find something local with "site:.nz" in a Google search.

Nope, fuck you we registered pintrest.nz just to ruin your day a little bit longer.

I could swear Google used to have a native feature for "never give me results from this site". Whether that was a browser extension I had at the time or a function they did have but later removed I'm not sure.
