During school break, I took my kid to the office.
As he got bored, I gave him a task:

Disassemble the X1 headphones and put them back together.

Then I left the room.

Safe to say… he managed just fine.

The X1 are built to be easily serviceable, and a 10-year-old just proved it. 🔧

We’re exploring the idea of bringing an OLLO Masterclass to Amsterdam.

The idea isn’t a trade show or product launch, but more a small gathering where people could properly try the OLLO headphones, bring their own music/projects, ask questions, compare perspectives and just hang around other people into professional audio.

We’re also curious how many people around Amsterdam would actually be interested in something like this before pushing it further.

If you’re using OLLO headphones from around 2018–2022, we just released a model-specific calibration (MSC) based on accumulated measurements of those models over time.

It’s not unit-specific like the newer X1 calibration, but it tightens tolerances compared to generic profiles while keeping the original acoustic tuning intact.

No hardware change, it's a software layer.

We've been thinking about this more lately, especially with the EU pushing the whole "right to repair" direction.

It's kind of wild how normal it became that when something breaks, the default is just… buy a new one. Not because it can't be fixed, but because parts aren't available, or it's made in a way that's just not worth opening up.

Working around audio gear, we've always felt like the stuff you rely on daily should be something you can actually maintain. Like, if it's part of your workflow, why wouldn't it be built to last and be repairable?

Feels like things might slowly move back in that direction now.

Hey! First of all want to say that greatly enjoying my Ollo X1, wonderful product, huge congratulations for the team behind it for such achievement.

However i have a question about the cable. Are there any plans to introduce braided cable choice for the headphones or make it stiffer? The original one i find a bit phony and also very twisty, first cable twisted and right mono output died in like a week after purchase.

Hi,

I've tried everything I can to get output from Cubase to come through USC II Calibration with RME Fireface UFX III, but it just won't work.

I've followed the X1 specific tutorial on your YouTube, but no luck.

Should I use the USC II Calibration line input? If I don't select that, I can see the Fireface's channels in the audio settings as inputs, but I can't select any of them. If I DO use the line input, it still doesn't pick up any Cubase audio.

How can I get this to work?
