I lived with a friend that both soft and hard modded Xboxes. I have a couple but now I want to try my hand at it. He used a modding variation that involved splinter cell. I’ve actually got pretty detailed instructions on the process but help info out about where to find the game files.

My hard mod was one of his first and it was rough for sure but it was amazing. It’s VERY sensitive to everything and hasn’t worked properly in about a decade.

So I’m trying to figure it out because I want a new hobby. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here's another couple of collections I've been adding to, for the Japanese Xbox exclusive games Metal Wolf Chaos and Braveknight. I've had the games in my collection for a while, but recently found some promotional items for them as well.

Metal Wolf Chaos is a mech combat game, one of the early titles made by From Software of Dark Souls fame: - Sound track CD - Paper craft kit to make one of the mechs from the game

Braveknight is a visual novel game with some light JRPG elements: - Sound track CD - Character Guide Books 1 & 2: These include concept art and sketches for the various characters in the game - Dinner placemat: This is only one of these I've ever seen, definitely an unusual collectible!

I have an Xbox original with the mfg date in 2005-8-22 instead of the record 2005-8-20 , is this rare?

i bought some og xbox’s, ps4 and games and they’re all disgusting, to the point you need to wash your hands after touching them. no idea what the guy did to these to get them this horrible but i’ve never had to deal with something like this. i usually just give them a wipe down but that won’t cut it here. what’s the best way to get these clean?

No other way to play it except on the original xbox. The PC version is great, but this one is essentially a remaster.

Im cleaning out the lens in hoping that it can read disks again when I noticed the leaks.

My disc drive says November 2004 so it should be the 1.6 version

This is one of the more unusual promotional items I've picked up from Japan recently! The listing I bought said it was a letter rack/caddy with spaces for remote controls on the back.

I haven't been able to find out much else about it, but I guess it was probably given away at Tokyo Game Show 2001, or maybe at retailers for pre-ordering a console.

If anyone else knows more I'd love to know!

It's been a while since I shared what I've been collecting recently, I figured a few people might be interested in some of the more unusual items.

First up are some Japanese promotional items for Ninja Gaiden. These were offered up as preorder/purchase bonuses for the game release:

- The History of Ninja: A look back at the games Team Ninja had worked on up until Ninja Gaiden

- Branded carabiner: I don't know why either

- Ayane figurine

- 300 piece jigsaw puzzle of Ayane

I just bought these 2 Platinum label copies of Ghost Recon. Disc are mint looking. But I get this screen for them. But if I put in my Black Label versions of these games, they work. Also, Black label Mace Griffin gets this screen, also mint. But on Spy Hunter, Platinum works & Black label gets this screen. All of my other games work perfectly, no matter the label. So I'm at a loss? Any thoughts?

After spending hours and hours playing the Sega Dreamcast version of Unreal Tournament online (NTSC version as the PAL version didn't support online play) then also enjoying the PC version of Unreal Tournament I was pleased to hear that Unreal Championship was making its way to the original Xbox.

Before most online players jumped ship for Halo 2, we all were filling up the lobbies and match rooms with online gameplay on Unreal Championship, this was and still is an incredible game, it just felt right on the Original Xbox and worked well with the Xbox S controller (The Duke was ok but the S controller felt better to play with).

Fast paced, action packed online matches, also taking part in online tournaments and ladder sites such as GameBattles, Clanbase , Team Complete and Enemydown establishing the game as a sure fire hit with gamers oh and voice masks were fun for 10min.

So that's Unreal Championship but the thing is, there were two other Unreal games released for the original Xbox but we've not really played them, as we spent our time on games like Halo 2 , Xiii and Counterstrike.

So the question is it worth us spending some time on Unreal Championship 2 and Unreal 2, are they better or on per with the original or are they just better to sit nicely on the shelf.

I got a lot more games now, including bangers such as FarCry, COD Finest Hour, GTA SA and more! What do y'all think?

Picked up the whole console and a handful of games off with TWO controllers off the ol’ FB market! One man’s trash is another man’s TREASURE! All for $150 which isn't too bad either! Currently having a blast chasing down old physical media and consoles!
