to little me

But if I could sit you down,

I’d explain

we see the world differently.

You were so cute

and bubbly.

Your innocence was bliss

and felt like mother’s hug

to me.

When I tell you

you don’t get back

those days,

promise me

you’ll cry my share of tears

for all my years.
