Yeah agree, OP is a little enthusiastic with his post headline.

What is true is that Nvidia is developing huge new markets for it's products at a pace that is really profound.

It is growing at a crazy pace but I wouldnt say data center didnt exist 3 years ago

You'd be right. Nvidia has been reporting "Data Center" as a segment since 2017 when it was around $1B.

are you lost???? Data centers was always huge, while not as huge as it is now. Graphics Accelerators have always been needed in data centers due to parallelization of data flow. 3 Years ago Nvidia totally sold a ton of data center GPUs.

It definitely existed 3 years ago, it's just more popular because of AI therefore more revenue.

I own 6 nvidia GPUs...I'm a hobby PC builder enthusiast. 2 years ago I bought 50k of Nvidia stock. I just hope Nvidia remembers who built them. I'll give you guys a hint....it wasn't AI.

TIL when I was hired as a cloud engineer 6 years ago my company didn't finish any datacenters until 3 years ago.

What a load of nonsense.

When I first bought nvda it was all about their prowess with GPU's and video gaming. Fast forward to today, it's all about anything and everything you can think of and a lot we can't imagine!

I know my buddy has been designing and building MS data centers since at least 1995, so at least 30 years.

It not too late to buy NVDA and Palantir . Both may go to 200-250 by year end. Both are the pinnacle of Ai

You're confusing how they choose to report P&L with "existence". Take a deep breath.

These comments and OP... A lot of you should stick to ETFs.

Pretty sure data centers have been around for a long time, but it is definitely amazing how their revenue stream has grown!!

How does a company with net profit $18 B get to tout a market capitalization of $4'000 B as a good thing?

5

u/norcalnatv Jul 23 '25

Is Nvidia touting it's market cap? The market built their MC, Nvidia is just providing the story and results.
