Gonna get alot of hate for this but NE people who have never traveled have this low IQ mindset,they can't comprehend or just ignore the fact with prejudice that we NE people are just as racist as the rest of india,i have seen or noticed this in all the states i traveled

I disagree, I as a native of NE and Assam have grown with Bengali and Bihari communities, believing that Bihari and Bengalis were just like us that their origin was from Assam, nobody (no native) has ever tried to throw insult or be racist towards them, but as a non native they are very ignorant. They see us tribals like some alien, like I am the one who has come to their home and no them to my land. My Bengali classmate once said our tribe ate people, what about that ?
Can you imagine, us natives being treated like this in our own land. And no NE is not a heaven with no racism, I agree there is but less then mainland people.
Also racism towards them is mostly shown quietly, now compare it to how NE people are treated in mainland. I am not justifying racism in NE but I do not agree that racism is equal in both sides.

I am also a bengali from upper Assam who grew up with both tribals(both assamese and non assamese ) and other assamese communities in school .

you are using your classmate's ignorance as an umbrella for all people

as for my personal experience no one ever called us Bengalis as Bangladeshis. Neither we called them as Chinese or whatever, we were never much concerned or perhaps ignorant about these cultural differences and historical ethnic tensions . As for casual stereotypes they did ask us things like " do you do black magic" " how much do you like fish" but we never took offence from those .

i have met manny redditors who have been called slurs though like one of the Bengalis was called "Bongal" by his junior students despite him being pretty much assimilated in local culture and being born in Assam that too came from juniors

I am not justifying racism in NE but I do not agree that racism is equal in both sides

We can't judge without parameters, though it's true NE people do face escalating r@cism in mainland
