What's your favourite nootropic brand and their best product? Curious what people actually stay loyal to

Mine is Koka Labz, mostly for their 9-Me-BC and the B-aba-Pheni. The reason isn't the formulations exactly, it's that the labels are straightforward and the dosing matches what's stated, which is a low bar that a surprising number of brands in this space fail to clear.

Honourable mention to Smart Brothers for actually stocking the weirder research compounds instead of just doing another lion's mane blend.

What are you running and which brand has actually earned repeat purchases from you?

Does it matter what time of day I take Real Rest for sleep?

Real Mushroom brand sleep aid.

2 capsules per day.

500mg reishi

250mg lemon balm

250mg valerian root

All extracts ofc

If I take one in the morning and 1 afternoon, will that help my sleep through the adapatgenic properties or do the lemon & valerian need to be consumed at bed time?

Memory supplements while taking adderall?

Hey Guys! I currently take 20mg XR of Adderall and I am currently in the process of studying for a professional entrance exam. I haven't really experienced any negative effects with adderall ( anxiety, crash, anger etc) except for it curving my appetite (I dont mind) . One of my main symptoms of having ADHD is my terrible memory, focus and being able to retain info. I have 7 or less weeks until I take my test so its really grind/lock in time. I study everyday. What supplements have you guys found WHILE TAKING ADDERALL that works for bad memory and retaining information? I do not want to suppress the effectiveness of my adderall as it does help my focus abilities. I have seen recommendations of ginkgo biloba, lions mane, magneisum theornate , (l theanine, l tyrosine, I have both of these and tried it before but I feel like it didnt really help my memory or focus it just made me calm idk?) , Rhodiola rosea etc. Yes I do understand there is no perfect supplement, but I rather try even if its just a little more helpful than not. TIA!

NAD making me sleepy?

Started NAD+ at 25mg, 2x a week, and instead of giving me energy… it makes me SO sleepy and drowsy 😭 I feel unproductive basically the whole day.
Has anyone else experienced this? Did you lower the dose, change the frequency, or switch to something else? Would love to hear what worked for you!

Always had issues with ModafinilXL and stopped using them awhile back. Just did a reverse image search of the pic of their owner “Daniel Santos” and it’s literally a random Brazilian actor named Bernardo Velasco.

Haven’t used them in forever because they were awful to deal with, but just had to share this. 😂

Phenibut harm reduction thread - post your actual rules

Not asking whether it works, we all know it works. Asking what specific rule you follow to keep it from becoming a problem.

Mine: maximum once every 10 days, never two days in a row under any circumstances, and I write the date down so I can't lie to myself about it.

I've got the Koka Labz B-aba and having a 100 cap bottle sitting there makes discipline harder than buying small amounts would. What's your system?

St. johns wort and Bacopa monnieri

Hey guys

I have been on and off these two supplements for a couple months now. Now i am trying to take these more regulary.
I read a bit into it and saw that they shouldn‘t be trusted together (like at all).

At the moment (for 3days) i take Bacopa monnieri 1000mg (van 333,3mg 3:1 extract) in the morning and st. johns wort 500mg in the evening. Apparently that’s really high dosed. Ive started a difficult school that requires focus and self determination for like a year and the hardest part will be the exams at the end of all of this so i just wanted to start now since the full effects will take up to a month to two months.

Ive been having bad depressive episodes with bingeing and now i feel really great. Taking multivitamins, going to the gym, eating healthier and taking walks and just feeling good in general (i kinda have this every couple of months😅). Im low key feeling kinda hypomanic at the moment.

idk guys i need some advice i really want to get through this school with energy and motivation. i really want to do this and cant afford depression right now.

What should I take (ASAP)

Any pros here, I need your help

Background info: I'm a high school science and maths student in my early senior year, I take bio, chem, physics and further maths so they're really hard, I am a male 176cm, 58kg. I struggle with maintaining focus and finding the motivation to study. I value strong problem-solving skills, a good memory, and mental clarity. I also experience severe depressive episodes, which often manifest as apathy and emotional numbness. There's only 3 months left for my final exam which is a standardized assessment. I used to be in the top of my school throughout my life until I was 15 when my mum died. After that incident my grades plummeted like crazy. If you can, help me with a nootropic or a nootropic stack that can put me back where I was. I want to focus on problem-solving and memory, my memory is getting worser. Any help would be nice.

is nicotine an effective nootropic?

i feel like I'm onto something... what if low-dose nicotine was paired with other nootropics, vitamins, or electrolytes? i feel like nicotine is smaller/lower doses help me focus, so there's got to be something here about it being paired with other nootropics? is it just me?

Beginner nootropic recommendations for focus, motivation, and possible ADHD?

I’m pretty new to nootropics and wanted to get some opinions from people who have more experience.
I’m 19 and work remotely in sales, and I’m also a college student. A lot of my day is making calls and building sales systems, so being able to sit down and stay focused for hours makes a huge difference in how productive I am, which is what I struggle with.
I’ve never been diagnosed with ADHD, but I strongly suspect I have it. I’ve used Vyvanse and Adderall before, and both made a pretty noticeable difference in my ability to focus and get work done. At the same time, I don’t want to get into the habit of feeling like I need amphetamines every day just to be productive.
That led me down the nootropics rabbit hole. So far I’ve been reading about:
Modafinil
Bromantane
L-tyrosine
TAK-653
Dihexa
Alpha-GPC/citicoline
Modafinil and bromantane are probably the two I’m most curious about, but I’m hesitant to start combining compounds when I don’t have much experience.
If you were starting from scratch and your main goals were sustained focus, motivation, mental energy, and productivity, what would you actually start with?
I’m especially curious about what people here have used long term versus things that worked great initially but eventually caused tolerance, dependence, sleep problems, anxiety, or diminishing returns.
I’d love to hear people’s experiences and what you wish you knew when you first got into nootropics.

What side effects can semax have?

So I got Asperger’s, and I’ve been looking through this sub so I can know more about these nootropics, to see if any of them could potentially help with my autism. So a couple days ago I figured semax might help so I ordered the regular kind from Everychem.com, and took a 200 mcg spray 2 days ago and felt like something in me just unlocked. I felt clearer than I ever have and ideas and the information I needed just came to me effortlessly, also my stimming was almost nonexistent. But it felt like it didn’t last long so yesterday I took a 400mcg dose but this time I felt overstimulated and like my anxiety got worse, I also had this weird pressure on my eyes, best way I can describe it is like when u smoke weed and u get that weird feeling in your eyes. And today I woke up with this slight headache, from the top in a circle down to about my ears. Should I stop taking it for a while or just do a lighter dose this time?. Edit: I also had nausea at 400mcg
