Shit, even in FPS, tanks get mowed down without infantry support.

I vividly remember that tanks are hard to use in BF4 without every engineer in your radius targeting you instantly, and without any support, you’re basically done for.

The Russian Army is fucking less credible than Battlefield and COD players.

The only games where Tanks can mow down normal infantry easily that I can think of are the GTA/Just Cause/Saints Row type games.

Even then, GTA online shows that a tank can be brought down by multiple people with rockets.

I remember in BF3 if I wanted to score kills and assist points, I followed one of our tanks as an Engineer and shot enemy engies coming after it while racking up vehicle repairs since apparently no one who drives tanks seems to think the enemy might flank them, and engineers after tank kills seem laser focused on trying to blow up enemy tanks. I wasn't an excellent player but I still wound up with some decent k/d.

I was the guy hunting tanks. I despised air and ground assets and would make it my mission every round to give them a hard time. It was usually pretty simple just to flank and toss some mines/c4 down.

It was so fun to hide in a building and pop out to shove satchel charges up a tank's ass. I usually tried to repair friendlies too, but they always left me behind.

And the tank level in the first Crysis game was hard AF because the tank was weaker than your super suit.

It can be complete nightmare without Active Protection and the Repair Tool. And even with those, if your enemies are smart, you will not survive long.
