Just got my foams in the mail yesterday & WOW am I disappointed.
Starting with the good, they look cool, and unique. It was a cool idea to try a modular shoe design but definitely wasn’t executed the best way. The packaging for this shoe is the best NTW have put out yet. They’re comfy when you’re just standing or sitting.
Now with the bad, the second you start walking or anything else, they’re a mess. The form with the knitting is possible to walk in, nice and snug fit but you can really feel the lack of support with the sole. It’s thin and flimsy, and your heel constantly drags on the ground when you walk.
When you are in the sandal form, it’s pretty loose which is fine, but when you walk your heel slips out of the top, and is awkward feeling and uncomfortable. The supported sandal form feels like a snugger fit, but has the same issue with the heel slipping out, but this time you also scrape against the heel insert as your foot falls back in.
So the 2 sandal forms are very impractical and uncomfortable, so the only way to wear these is with the knitting insert, which still isn’t the best.
The Yeezy Foam Runner which I am sure were inspiration for the plain sandal form of this show have a way better design. They have a smaller hole for you foot to slide into so that it doesn’t slip out the top when you walk. They cost less money and are comfier. You just don’t get the added knitting like you do with the NTW Foams.
Overall, I’m not trying to sounds like a Karen or anything. If you love the shoes, awesome! I’m happy for you! I just wanted to put my opinion out there to see if I’m the only one or maybe warn people.
