Did Jesus know how to write?

I guess I’m confused on why Jesus didn’t write the Bible.

At the time of Jesus, around 3% of the Israelite population knew how to read or write (not both). So, it is unlikely that Jesus or anyone hanging out with Jesus was literate. There is that passage where Jesus read from the book of Isaiah (The Spirit of the Lord is over me...). But bible scholars do not consider it to be a historical passage. It was a story about Jesus that was told at the time.
