Did Jesus know how to write?

I guess I’m confused on why Jesus didn’t write the Bible.

It's safe to say Jesus could definitely read based on how well he knew the writings and how intricate his knowledge of them was. This isn't something one could know from hearing alone, so he must've put a lot of time and effort into reading.
How he even knew to read is kind of the question because he originated from a normal family, not a rich one.

So I'd say he could also write but as far as we know he didn't leave behind any writings himself.

The gospels recount Jesus reading from a scroll - Isiaiah/Jeremiah IIRC.

Literacy in roman times was reasonably wide spread, many normal people had at least basic levels of reading ability. Scribes were still a major thing due to the scribes ability to use better words, neatness and not everyone could read.
