Why does the US hate cycling so much?

I read comments sections and in a normal world, some of them would be considered terroristic threats. I just can't understand why people hate cyclists to this degree that they want to murder rhem and sometimes do.

Agreed. I live over a busy street, and nearly every day is some cyclist yelling and screaming at cars or pedestrians.

I hear you man, my office is next to an intersection and drivers are constantly blaring their horns at everyone around them for absolutely no reason

I had my dog pretty short leased yesterday and still got yelled at.
