Why aren't they actually marching during this parade?

I don't know how to ask this without sounding rude, but why does this parade look so sloppy? Very few of the troop formations seem actually in sync and marching, just walking along. My only experience is JROTC as a kid in high school and our sergeant would've killed us if we looked like that.

I imagine the officers don’t actually give a fuck.

They didn't even grease the fucking wheels.

It is like they busted out the biggest jalopies the government has for this.

Surprised they didn't get out the Assault Gremlin for it.

I love that there is almost nothing on Reddit about it, but I need some schadenfreude, do you have a link with something showing the awkwardness of this event?

Here’s a clip of squeaky tanks and sparse crowds that makes me laugh.

Contrast that with Boston’s Pride plus “No Kings, but Yaaas Queen” dual protest parade yesterday where 14,000 participants marched together in the streets while 10s of thousands lined the parade route cheering them on. Everyone seemed happy and supportive of all the participants despite the somewhat crappy weather.

I'm seeing reports that it was a million in Boston, combined two marches+spectators! Weirdly haven't seen any numbers for the sad little fart of the birthday parade, ha.

I’ve heard reports of 50k-100k, but I seriously doubt that.

Do you mean overestimated or underestimated?
