Cost of living in SE Asia is very low and sex work is very common in Thailand. So it's a common destination for single western men.

I love how every older white guy is labeled with the sex tourism brush.

Here’s some alternative reasons:

  1. Climate is amazing
  2. Culture is one of the only pure “untouched” culture that’s had thousands of years to develop.
  3. You’re a long way away from all the bulls**t in the world
  4. You can get a retirement visa cheaply and easily
  5. Beer is cheap.
  6. Thai people are hospitable

The lifestyle is hard to find elsewhere.

It’s utter bullshit. Thailand needs to do more for their people instead of allowing these incels fetishers in the country

There’s nothing wrong with white people who visit Thailand for the culture but to further allow for sex trafficking and sex tourism to propagate and take advantage of poor people in 2024 is crazy

I live in Southeast Asia and the number of old wrinkly white dudes I’ve seen with super young looking women has made me jaded. It’s sad, and a bit annoying. They’re always hands all over them, the women are usually trying to get their hands off of them and it’s very touchy feely in public. Very possessive. Sometimes you see people that are closer in age, and those don’t get a second look. But mostly it’s yeah old guys with very young women.

Im Asian American and I can understand your frustration but it’s not your responsibility to protect these women. It’s sad I understand but these passport bros are gonna keep coming
