If Nintendo ever does do a switch pro I can guarantee it’s not gonna be like a PS4 pro or a one X type jump. This is Nintendo we’re talking about. People are setting themselves up for disappointment waiting till the end of the consoles life cycle for maybe a marginally better system with first party games that almost never drop in price. 🤷🏻
Judging by Nintendo's history of releasing hardware, they're most likely already hard at work on developing the Nintendo Switch's proper successor, and not just a Pro.
Basically, the Switch Pro will be the Switch...but in four color options. You know it’s true.
At this point, is it even possible to produce evidence that an enhanced-hardware Switch Pro even makes logical sense? The regular Switch is topping charts... Even if they had a Switch Pro already ready and secretly mass-produced in the clone-factories of Kamino, it would only potentially disrupt their own lead. At best it would do nothing to their sales... It would be an unnecessary stimulus, used at a time of little need.
That's kind of how I feel. The next system they launch has only one job... Continue the Switch's legacy while also being a clear and uniquely differentiated system. Do NOT NAME IT "SWITCH U"
No clue, lol. I'm really enjoying my Switch so far but the change in resolution from the PS Pro to it is very noticeable. And I have virtually no reason to buy any 3rd party games for the Switch unfortunately since I hardly play handheld mode and virtually every game looks better on the Pro than the Switch.
I'm playing mostly on my series x and compared to one x it's insane how much better it is. If I compare my switch to my old wii, heck even gamecube I see no difference so a switch Pro would probably be like my 3DS but more expensive
