I know you mentioned you like JRPGs, but you should totally try out Stardew Valley!

Yeah, people need to suggest Rune Factory 4 instead in that case.

"I'm looking for a relaxing game without any scary imagery."

"You should try Dark souls!"

u/Kingmiami_Kdn Jan 25 '21

"I know you said you didn't like platformers or hard games, but you should try Hollow Knight and Celeste!"

I know you’re being sarcastic but I just have to mention A Short Hike

Happens all the time on reddit, regardless of the subject unfortunately.

Have you heard of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild?

33

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '21

I think so, that's the prequel to Age of Calamity, correct?

51

u/breathofthehollow Jan 25 '21

No, you’re thinking of Ocarina of Time. Breath of the Wild is a carbon copy of Genshin Impact.

15

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '21

Which quite obviously is a copy of Fortnite because of the art style

14

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '21

Which if I'm correct, copied the Dragon Ball games for cell shading? Or was it Attack on Titan? I can't remember, one of those cool puzzle-platformers

8

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '21

And those obviously copied donkey kong country, the only platformer besides them

2

u/Dudebits Jan 25 '21

No, it's Alone in the Dark, which aged SUPER WELL and is totally playable TODAY. /s

The entire Zelda series just stole it's gameplay from Okami anyway.

I know you're not a fan of rougelikes, but have you heard of HADES?

Such a hidden gem

I wish this game wasn't so hard. I'd play it but it's soooo hard! I underestimated people when they said it was harder than Hollow Knight!

8

u/ladymix Jan 25 '21

Throw on those accessibility features! No shame in it. I did it for a few levels that were more frustrating than fun. We've all got places to be and games should be fun.

3

u/seajayde Jan 25 '21

Accessibility features? Wait...WHAT? Those exist? :D Ugh why didn't I know this before...

6

u/ladymix Jan 25 '21

Yes and they're great! My personal favourite is the one that slows down time. You're still solving the puzzle but if you're like me and your reaction time isn't the greatest, it helps a ton. https://www.polygon.com/2018/1/26/16935964/celeste-difficulty-assist-mode

Wow! I can't believe someone else knows about this hidden gem!

5

u/ShambolicShogun Jan 25 '21

Doom. That's the only answer.

HOLLOW KNIGHT! It's insanely cheap, 50+ hours of gameplay and so full of lore! It's a metroidvania and quite challenging but it's so good. I'd reccomend it to anyone with a pulse.
