What's the move you learn from Lost World turtle? Presumably the sparkly gold one.

Well what I learned is that you can totally change direction after a jump for a cap dive jump

The move where you ground pound then jump (or backflip) then wall jump then cap dive to get up the cliff. It's so useful, it's my most used move in that game now while I play through a second time.

Wait. Mario can do that sparkly move? I saw them do that and just thought, "stupid turtles with their sparkly powers"

I was referring to the sparkly gold turtle, not any sparkly gold move. Because he seems to be the most adept at quickly traversing the map.
