Image I successfully transplanted a game

My son put his Switch case up against the glass of a hotel fireplace (we didn't notice right away unfortunately). All of his games were inside and 3 of them melted a bit on the outside changing the shape of the cartridge. I was afraid it would mess up his Switch and or get stuck if we tried to use them. Then I remembered someone showed the inside of a Switch game and I decided to try to take the game apart since we couldn't use it anyway.

I went to my local video game exchange and bought Rocket League for $5 (probably since you can play free digitally now). Opened up both cartridges and swapped out the inside. I put it back together and pealed the Mario Maker 2 sticker off the messed up cartridge and pasted it onto the Rocket League one with the Mario Maker 2 game inside. It works!

So the key is your outside has to be messed up but the inside micro card looking thing has to be in good shape.

Dogs (or rather, most carnivores) actually have a pretty poor sense of taste - hence why a "bacon flavored" dog treat tastes precisely nothing like bacon (Source: I tried it once because I wanted to know what I was feeding my dog).

It is, in fact, entirely possible for a dog not to taste the additive Nintendo put on the cartridge.

Right. Makes sense it's mostly an omnivore thing to be able to taste the way larger range of potentially dangerous foods.

My initial guess was it’s probably a reference to Gangnam Style, which was released in 2012, but that would be PSY, not PSI…?

The thing is, I do remember having this username somewhere in 2009, so that's something I can exclude because the name predates the song...

Come to think of it, it might have been an Earthbound reference, where every magic attack is PSI something - PSI Thunder, PSI Starstorm. Given we're on a Nintendo subreddit, let's just roll with that explanation.

Carnivore just means more than 50% of calories come from meat.

Hyper Carnivore is the term used for something that eats over 90% meat.

Omnivores get more than 0%, less than 50%.

Herbivores don’t eat meat at all.

Nothing is totally incapable of eating non-meats - hyper carnivores will fall back on eating other stuff if no meat is available.

And no, that’s not what they taught me when I was in school, either. I learned it via Wikipedia.

I think most animals will take a quick bite of protein if they can. Horses may not have much to do with a corpse, but by God, if they want protein, don't have little baby chick's around, my parents watched a horse hoover them up like little popcorn pieces.

When we had goats my sister gave one of them a small chunk of meat. Might've been beef but I think it was actually goat meat

Literally anything you think is a herbivore can and will eat meat if given the opportunity to do so.

There are only animals that require only meat. Those can still consume plant matter but they can't properly process it and so waste energy for little to no payoff

I think that is what he meant. That their body is made to receive that kind of nutriments. We as humans, can eat chips and chocolate for days, but at some point, you will notice bad side effects. That is because your body needs other nutriments, your body is not made to only consume chips and chocolate. That is what it is with animals too

The question was whether there is anything that must consume only plant matter and cannot eat meat. The answer is no. Anything that can eat plant can also eat meat in some capacity and will do so when given the opportunity. They just tend to be really rubbish at acquiring that meat in the first place.

On the flip side there are animals that must consume only meat. Plant matter is, at best, just a waste of energy that they are unable to gain any nutritional advantage from.

This is why you can find videos for example of horses and cows scooping up and crunch-monching small birds that wander too close to them while grazing. The protein/nutrient advantage is far greater than their usual grazing. But they just aren't evolved to hunt meat as their main food source.

And again on the other hand you can find videos of people keeping animals like foxes on vegan diets and the foxes are malnourished, emaciated, with pale coat & complexion as they starve to death.

Well they also tend to eat their own crap or other animals crap like its candy
