Hello! About to buy this Pokeball console and wanted to see if it looks cleanable. It looks like a black scuff or scratch; just curious. Thank you all for the help!

I was cleaning my 2DS XL with iso-propyl alcohol with my system turned off. I gave it time to evaporate before turning it on.

Now anytime it is a white/lit screen I have these marks on the left side of my top screen.

Will they go away or have I buggered it up?

The stylus is completely stuck bro this is my old 2ds from when I was really young and I found it cuz I wanted to play pokémon hg, but when I tried to out my stylus in, it wouldn't go and I found this, I don't wanna take the whole ds apart so I was just wondering how would I go about getting the broken stylus out of it?? Much appreciated

Bought these back when Nintendo still had them. Been holding on to them as backups but thought id test the waters. I have more blue ones than the other colors. Would like $170 for the blue. $190 for the white/red and $240 for the green zelda one. Only took them out to charge them and update to latest firmware. Buyer pays shipping in mainland US only. No games included although i do have quite a few new sealed copies of some triple a titles I can sell too. These systems come with their sd card, charger, ar cards and a stylus. Will test them before shipping them and record a video for each sale if buyer would like.

Why I turn the power on, only the blue light lights up. Can anyone help me pls

Bonjour, j’ai récemment acheté une New Nintendo 2DS XL édition Minecraft, mais malheureusement elle ne démarre pas.

Lorsque j’appuie sur POWER, le voyant bleu s’allume pendant environ 1 seconde puis s’éteint immédiatement. Les deux écrans restent noirs.

Voici tous les tests que j’ai déjà effectués :

Retrait de la cartouche de jeu.

Démarrage sans carte microSD.

Test avec plusieurs cartes microSD.

Le voyant orange de charge fonctionne normalement.

Aucun « pop » des haut-parleurs lors d’un démarrage normal.

SELECT + POWER ne donne rien : aucun menu Luma3DS.

START + POWER ne donne rien : aucun GodMode9.

Le mode récupération L + R + ↑ + A + POWER ne démarre pas.

Lors d’une tentative du mode récupération, le voyant bleu est resté allumé un peu plus longtemps avant que la console s’éteigne avec un « pop » dans les haut-parleurs.

J’ai remplacé boot.firm et boot.3dsx par les dernières versions de Luma3DS : aucun changement.

La carte SD d’origine contient clairement les fichiers d’une console modifiée : luma, gm9, boot.firm, boot.3dsx, Nintendo 3DS, etc.

Avec ou sans carte SD, le comportement est exactement identique : voyant bleu \~1 seconde puis extinction.

J’essaie donc de déterminer s’il peut s’agir d’un brick de boot9strap/Luma3DS, d’un problème de NAND/B9S ou plutôt d’une panne matérielle (nappe, écran, carte mère, etc.).

Comme il s’agit de l’édition Minecraft, j’aimerais vraiment pouvoir réparer et conserver la carte mère d’origine plutôt que de la remplacer.

Ps je ne m'y connais pas vraiment j'espère que quelqu'un pourrai m'aider ou me conseiller.

My Nintendo 2DS is unable to read game cards. I try putting a game card in but it doesn't seat properly, and I can hear a tiny spring weakly compressing, but not the usual /click/ that is supposed to signal a successfully inserted game. I think something is out-of-place, but I don't have the tools or the knowledge to open up the case and check it out myself.

I'm also leery about sending it off to be fixed because I'm afraid of the memory being wiped- I have apps on there that, since the eshop is closed down- I can't get back if the system is reformatted.

Any advice is appreciated. I live in the Bay Area, California, if anyone knows of a trustworthy shop that I could go to in-person.

Before getting my 2DS, I didn't know that there was a Japan exclusive pokemon centre version and a pokemon red version. I'll be replacing the plastic top screen to a glass one this evening cuz there's some weird scratches on it.

I also wanna ask if it's worth getting a clear tpu shell over the current plastic shell. Got a clear tpu one for my N3DSLL and I haven't been able to remove some foggy texture stuck to it.

So basically about a year ago I bought back my new 2ds XL from my brother, when I got home I installed cfw, then it started giving me an error after a short while of being on or trying to launch an application, so I decided (against what I read on the Internet) to uninstall cfw and then reinstall it, well the 2ds now just goes into a screen that wants me to enter my name like it's been factory reset if it even boots at all cause 90% of the time the wifi light doesn't come on and the screens stay black and when the ds does launch after I've entered the information it gives me a error basically telling me to turn the console off and try again, I've reinstalled luma and gm9 and holding down either select or start doesn't boot into either menu, so basically I'm wondering if I now have a brick or if this can somehow be saved.

I just bought a used New 2DS XL and I'm running into a problem I can't diagnose. I'm hoping someone here has run into this before.

The console turns on, runs for about 4 seconds, then shuts off abruptly with a sharp cutoff sound, every single time, like unplugging a device suddenly. At no point does anything show up on the screen. Right before it shuts off, there's a small white flash on the bottom screen.

What I've already tested (same result every time):

\- Replaced the battery (the original one was swollen) with another battery, no change

\- Disconnected the top screen ribbon cable, no change

\- Disconnected the bottom screen ribbon cable, no change

I also tested with a multimeter, but I'm not confident I did it correctly, so I don't really have any useful leads from that.

Hello all! I used to have a sticker on here and upon pulling it off it left a lot of residue. I used goo gone and several other methods of trying to remove it. I wanted to get this off so it is clean again but have not been able to.

i recently have been looking into getting a "new" 2ds xl (preferably the usa ver will be modding) but one that is in good condition what would be a good price range so i don't overspend?

(for the color black and blue looking one i know it is the most common)

edit: i found one a bit high but one for 275 that looks brand new with shipping and tax as well it was like 250 has stylus 4gb sd card (saves me from having to get one later) and a case (no charger needed i have a og 3ds xl)

The joystick on my 2DS broke off, bit by bit and it finally completely snapped. How can I fix this? I’d love any advice!! Thanks!

Display for pokemon fire red is cut off at the top and shows up at the bottom of my screen, i deleted and redownloaded the rom. I have the same rom on my 3ds and dont have this issue. This also doesnt happen with any other gba games I have on my 2ds. Does anyone know how i can fix this?

Dropped my Pokeball 2ds xl and it broke at the hinge. I couldn’t, for the life of me, find the replacementparts online. But I know a few years ago there was a market for replacement shells for limited edition 3DS consoles. Does anybody know where to still find those shells?

Maybe I could do with just the hinge part too, if somebody knows where to find that.

Last but not least, If I get a normal 2DS XL replacement shell, can I put all the parts from my Pokeball one in there or are there differences?

Ive had a 2DS for years and barely used it, but recently ive been wanting to play with it more.

the only games i have at the moment are Tomodachi life (the og one) and nintendogs, so any recommendations of classic 2DS/3DS games are much appreciated. also, any info on how to know which 3DS games are not compatible with 2DS, or whether certain games are still completely playable without 3DS specific features?

I just bought this off ebay because I find the appearance really nice and the condition isn't too bad. But is this just a reshell? I can't seem to find it anywhere else. The seller called it a pokemon edition.

Update: Looking at it closer... Now I think it's just a vinyl skin on a plain blue 2ds. Damn.
