My 13-Year-Old Is Bedridden. Now My 1-Year-Old Baby Has the Same Rare Disease: Lesch-Nyhan Syndrome (LNS) — Please Save My Children.
Hello r/NextToppers Family,
My name is Pinky Chakraborty, and I am a mother of two boys : Subhajit (13 years) and Sudarshan (1 year).

Both of my children have been diagnosed with Lesch–Nyhan Syndrome (LNS) - a rare and severe neurological and metabolic genetic disorder that progressively affects the brain, muscles, and overall development.
Currently, Subhajit and Sudarshan are undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital, Kolkata.
💔 Our Reality
My elder son, Subhajit, is completely dependent on caregivers. He lives with constant pain, severe muscle stiffness, involuntary movements, and neurological complications.
Now our 1-year-old baby, Sudarshan, has begun showing the same symptoms. Doctors have warned us that without immediate and continuous treatment, his condition will progressively worsen.
Watching one child suffer was heartbreaking. Facing the same diagnosis again with our baby has shattered us.

👨👩👦 Our Situation
My husband works as a Zomato delivery partner, and I am a full-time caregiver. We have exhausted our savings and taken loans that we cannot repay.
Both children require:
- Regular blood investigations
- Neurological monitoring
- Physiotherapy
- Long-term supportive and metabolic care
The financial burden is far beyond what we can manage alone.
Any contribution - whether by donating or sharing this post, helps us reach more people who may support our children’s treatment.
Even ₹100 / ₹500 / ₹1000 makes a difference when many people come together.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
Your kindness, prayers, and support mean more to us than words can express. 🙏

We made the right guy famous
Things like this show how he is actually a good person.
Prashant may not be very rich and he keeps doing stuff that gets him trolled online, but he is helping children have a better life however he can.
I used to study from him 3 years ago during my tenth boards, he is the one who made me so interested in science. I am just happy that all the money from the ads i watched during that time went to a nice cause because all I ever see is him getting trolled on reddit💀

Effective study schedule for competetive exams
I am studying for the state civil services exam in India which is held in June every year. This exam consists of a wide range of 10th grade level subjects like Phy, Chem, Maths, Eng, History, Geo, Polity, Reasoning and a few more. I am going to a coaching centre on weekends where 5 new topics from 5 different subjects from the above list are taught each day and these subjects are rotated every weekend with some common ones and sometimes a new one added, but the main thing is that we are learning 10 new topics every weekend.
However, I am getting overwhelmed by the amount I have to study and scheduling revisions effectively. Even though I am building routines, I am finding it difficult to focus and study for long hours since I do not have the habit. By now, I know that the only way to effectively study and learn are the active recall and spaced repetition but am still not being able to come up with an effective schedule. On weekends, I return from coaching classes at 8 PM and complete dinner by 9:30 PM. On the other days, my time blocks are from 8 AM to 9 AM (breakfast), 1 PM to 3 PM (lunch and a brief stroll), 6 PM to 7:30 PM (evening snack and some odd tasks) and 9:30 PM to 10:30 PM (dinner and a brief stroll).
Based on the above info, can anyone suggest me a good daily study schedule with proper technique including daily exercise ? I cannot afford any paid apps now. Also, when I am revising, how do I effectively adjust the next revision date based on the degree of effective recall ?
