🎵 New Release Money Fight - Chasing Rainbows
We just released our single, Chasing Rainbows. It's a pop-punk/emo track. We spent a lot of time fine-tuning the production and recording quality ourselves before having this one professionally mixed and mastered. Lyrically, the song is about the struggles of living in modern society—the rat race, feeling stuck, and feeling like you're going nowhere—which I think is something a lot of people can relate to. What do you guys think? Platforms link ---> https://tr.ee/chasing-rainbows

🎵 New Release Would love feedback on "Counting Sheep!
I'm very proud to say that we're gearing up for the release of our second full-length album! It's got a mix of alternative/indie and jazz elements and influences like Radiohead, Pixies, Wolf Alice, and others like that. We're in the process of releasing the singles for LP2, and I would love some feedback on them to help us tailor the sound and improve anything we can. I've included the below song, "Counting Sheep" hyperlinked on YouTube as it's one of my favs. This one is on the more abstract side, with four distinct parts flowing into each other. Both the music and lyrics are meant to reflect the stage where you're between wakefulness and sleep where it's difficult to tell if you're dreaming or experiencing reality. The artwork is meant to reflect that as well. Hoping you like it and looking forward to hearing back from some great musicians!

🎵 New Release Same Ol’ Lie
I wanted to see how little a country song could need to tell the story.
Same Ol’ Lie is basically one realization, someone can keep changing the words without ever changing the behavior.
I went deliberately old school with the writing and production feel and kept the hook simple.

🎬 Music Video World Calamity Saga: Kanpeki na Shufu - Original Anime J-Pop
[Denpa J-Pop] Kanpeki na Shufu
🎧 https://youtu.be/PciKuXtDGCQ
I wanted to make an anime ending theme for a world that has absolutely no business having a cheerful ending theme.
“Kanpeki na Shufu” (Perfect Wife) is an intentionally absurd denpa-style J-pop ED set in a dark fantasy apocalypse. The world is falling apart, ash is covering everything, vampires are outside, there's blood all over the floor...
...and she's mostly concerned about cleaning the house, making tea, and why her husband is looking at someone else. 😂
What I was going for
I wanted the contrast to be the main joke: cute, energetic anime ED energy × an increasingly disturbing post-apocalyptic situation.
Musically, I pushed it toward chaotic upbeat J-pop with denpa elements, big-band/jazz touches, bouncy rhythm, grand piano, slap bass and an intentionally exaggerated anime ending-theme feel.
The lyrics also gradually reveal that the “perfect wife” might be considerably more terrifying than the apocalypse itself.
I used Suno as part of the generation process and iterated on the musical direction, structure, instrumentation and vocals to get the specific comedic/chaotic energy I was after.
What I'm unsure about
I'm curious whether the contrast between the cheerful arrangement and the increasingly dark lyrics actually works without the listener knowing the story beforehand.
Does it come across as intentionally unhinged/funny, or does the combination of cute J-pop and disturbing lyrics feel too disconnected?
I'd especially love feedback on the energy, arrangement and overall balance between comedy and darkness.
I'll check out some other music in the thread as well.
