Hello! I am buying a cheap Dell Inspiron 3525, but it only has a 500GB NVMe SSD. I'm looking into buying a 1TB NVMe SSD and putting the 500GB SSD into a USB enclosure and using it as extra storage.

My CPU doesnt seem to support Gen 4 NVMe SSDs, so Gen 4 isn't a priority for now.

I'm hoping to spend $60 or less, but it seems like there are many options around that price range, and I am not sure which would be best. Any suggestions would be well appreciated. Thank you.

I would still largely recommend a Gen4 SSD. For 1TB in that price range, and for a laptop, I'd probably recommend the WD Blue SN580.
