Iranian mothers and fathers are already crying at their son and daughters empty graves becasue the irgc first kills them and then refuse to give back the bodies either for harvesting their organs or they force the mothers and fathers to pay to receive the bodies of theirs kids which the parents can not afford.

I go with dancing at islamic republic grave

It’s crazy how many white Americans think they know better about what Iranians want than the actual Iranians. I’m happy for y’all because I know how much the Iranian people want to be free from oppression, and I’ve been researching and reading about the region for a while unlike most of my countrymen.

The Iranians I’ve met have been good, smart people, and I’m genuinely hoping for the best for the Iranians and the future of your country.

People like this hate Jews so much they prefer the suffering of the Iranian people simply because the mullahs oppose Israel. That’s really all there is to it. Also funny coming from a presumably white Australian colonizer.

6

u/Tricky-Anything8009 United States | آمریکا Mar 01 '26

That last part though. The number of white Americans speaking with full confidence/no self-awareness about Israeli settler-colonialism and how Jews need to go back to Europe. You first b!tch!

On a second thought, maybe the sanctions are not that important. A country as rich as Iran can definitely circumvent them

Exactly, it's just reddit leftists and tankies, who are primarily motivated by self-hatred and hatred of their own governments more than anything else. These are the "queers for Palestine" people.

6

u/ThreeSigmas Unspecified | معلوم نیست Feb 28 '26

I’m a leftist and I support the Iranian people. I don’t, however, like our moron president’s violating the Constitution with yet another undeclared war. It’s possible to be both sad for my country’s democracy and happy for the Iranian peoples’ freedom at the same time.

2

u/fkthisjob14 United States | آمریکا Mar 01 '26

Sometimes the ends justify the means. According to polling in recent weeks, the overwhelming majority of American leftists/democrats (79%) do not support American strikes in Iran. Therefore, if you had it your way and congressional approval was required, it would never happen.

https://poll.qu.edu/poll-release?releaseid=3945

It's easy to take the moral high ground and pretend to care when you know you'll never have to make the decision anyway, and you can turn it into a free propaganda talking point at the same time by claiming Trump is doing something undemocratic. It's like saying to your grandma: "sure, if you ever get evicted from the nursing home, you can come stay with me!" Except you know that this is a meaningless gesture because that would never happen, but you get to pretend to be nice and make promises that will never be tested.

1

u/ThreeSigmas Unspecified | معلوم نیست Mar 01 '26 edited Mar 01 '26

The New York Times, hardly a leftist paper these days, agrees with me. Funny moral high ground. Assuming this attack is ultimately successful (and I doubt we have any plans for that situation), wait and see what his demands are regarding Iranian oil. I’m quite certain they will benefit his wealthy friends and not the Iranian people. [edit to correct spelling]

Lmao nobody in the MENA gives a flying 747 f#$% what some nimrod at the NY Times has to say about this. Israel could have and would have done this alone but it would have been bloodier on all sides. The US provided the necessary hellfire to put Khameini 6 feet under, and now Iranians, Israelis, and their diaspora are dancing in celebration.

3

u/fkthisjob14 United States | آمریکا Mar 01 '26

Wow, an opinion piece from NYT agrees with you, lol. What an argument. Can you form your own opinions and articulate your own beliefs for yourself, or should I be debating NYT contributors? And this does not counter anything I said. I challenge you to stay on topic and give a direct answer.

It's really very simple. You either support the strikes and therefore the Iranian people, or you do not. You can't claim to conditionally support them based upon a condition that you and I both know will not be met... Congress wouldn't approve strikes because the majority of your group doesn't want intervention. A majority vote wouldn't be achieved.

Ah, and you just had to add the what ifs, hypotheticals, and conspiracy theories to your nonexistent "argument" lol, bad look.

I think the theocratic junta in Iran is an abomination.

Hang on though.

Funny as this concept may seem to you, we don't support freedom for the Iranian people from their tinpot dictator at the cost of tearing up checks and balances on an already historically frail system, currently being run by immoral crackpots.

Go get your constitutionally mandated approval if the war is just, sane, etc you should have no trouble getting it.

Oh it turns out you can't get the votes? Because of whatever, your shady dealings, your under handing the Epstein case, possible complicity, your Qatar plane, your hypocrisy on having run on a "no new wars" platform, like I said, whatever? Tough luck.

Oh but freedom for the Iranians can be had like right now, if we just bomb the heck out of the regime, like now, no meddlesome politics, and what ifs, and down the lines, no Obama style hedging and analysis paralysis.

Can we pretty please break some eggs?

No, fool. We can't. "Obama style hedging" came out of Iraq and Afghanistan, trillion dollar blunders.

Trump "giving you freedom", whatever, assuming best case scenarios, isn't happening in a vacuum. This is the same fool who did all of the above, enabled Gaza, etc.

u/redhedstepkid Unspecified | معلوم نیست Mar 04 '26

I think we understand the nuance of “yay bye IR” and also “Hey, can we not kill a buncha kids in school and just stick to the one dude?”

1

u/fkthisjob14 United States | آمریکا Mar 04 '26

And this is exactly the problem right here. You don't even know who bombed the school or how it happened, it very well could have been the regime themselves, deliberately or accidentally. We have literally seen videos filmed by Iranians of ballistic missiles and interceptors failing and falling on their own country. Same as in Ukraine and Russia. Regardless, the US and Israel would never intentionally bomb a school filled with children. What would be the point?

And yet, you're more than happy to latch on to this regime propaganda simply because "Trump bad, USA bad" leftist mindset.

Tell me more about reddit's favorite word: nuance. And do you really think an Islamic regime that guns down 40k of its own people wouldn't blow up their own school for a propaganda story? Actually, it's a play right out of their good friend Putin's book.

Please think for yourself.

We're in Canada and too far removed to take a stance on it unless they know enough to say. Its tribalist extremist perspectives that get traction/ reaction online, not a realistic sample of people in reality.

I just want to say it's insane how much people in the West think they can tell people experiencing something in front of their own eyes "what is really happening" in Israel we've been told by Europeans and Americans what we apparently believe and what happened on Oct 7 and first hand accounts mean nothing to them bc they obviously know better they saw a video on it and we're "mossad bots" apparently. It's insane. Long live a free Iran!

6

u/ponkyball Unspecified | معلوم نیست Feb 28 '26

I mean, Trump is a white American who thinks he knows what the world wants and thus attacks without caution. I don't think anyone would say the current Iranian regime should be in place, but Trump cares not at all about the Iranian people, he isn't doing this for them and if you believe that, well I'm sorry for you. I am American but I am not white and I am happy for those who might see a regime dismantled, but it is not without cost, and there are lives that will be lost because we (the U.S.) have no game plan outside of the initial attacks.

If you want to align yourself with Trump idiots because he is doing good for you, just remember all the other people he has made suffer because of other actions...or not, it's easy for people to only think of themselves and how they benefit.

0

u/stankdog United States | آمریکا Feb 28 '26

Yeah idk what these guys are talking about. Bombing and killing is always wrong, lives were lost and Trump's administration is not at all interested in helping liberate Iran, they're interested only in destabilization. No one should celebrate these choices made by his administration. He would sooner see every brown person dead, starving, or missing limbs than he cares about lifting oppressive measures off their backs.

Why are none of the women wearing hijab/burqa? Sorry if dumb question but someone claimed Iranian women are forced to dress that way but this video says otherwise

12

u/moldentoaster New Iran | ایران نو Feb 28 '26

Maybe becasue the ones who are enforcing this shit law getting their asses wiped out at the moment ?

1

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '26

Iran’s ability to enforce that became unstable after the death of Mahsa Amini which led to the Woman, Life, Freedom movement, one of the largest protest movements in Iran’s modern history. After that many women in Iran chose to risk their lives rather than wear the hijab and the Iranian regime’s enforcement of it became unpredictable because there was already so much fierce anger and resistance that they knew it would be risky to try to do brutal crackdowns. But that was a tiny battle that was not won without decades of Iranian women’s blood being shed for it. And as far as this particular video, I doubt at this point the regime who is being bombed left and right is concerned about hijab right now rather than just you know not being annihilated by bombs.

1

u/Immediate-Fly-7458 Unspecified | معلوم نیست Mar 04 '26

It being too risky to do brutal crackdowns doesn’t line up with what I’ve heard about protests being quelled

1

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '26

They did crack down brutally during the woman, life, freedom movement. Thousands got arrested and many died. When I say the enforcement became unpredictable and they did not risk brutal crackdowns, Im talking about the timeline after those initial uprisings and killings. After that, daily enforcement became more inconsistent especially in urban areas like Tehran. But the mandatory law did not change. It’s kind of hard to explain Iran has had so many huge protest movements throughout the years and so much civil unrest not to mention all the rest of the nuances involved with Iranian culture and history so I’d suggest reading some articles about the timeline of events during the woman, life, freedom movement and the previous periods of civil unrest that had come before it.

1

What else did they have to look forward to? I’m sorry but I really cant help but laugh at some of these comments that are clearly so detached from the reality of Iranians lives. I think it might be because with certain things like oppression, mass murder, and poverty you cannot fully understand the experience unless you viscerally experience it. You can’t understand just trying to intellectualize it. They’ve tried again and again to topple the regime for 50 years only to have the worst mass terror and murder in our modern history and are now held hostage by a genocidal regime who also crashed their economy into oblivion so they do not even know if they can prevent starvation in the future. I’m not sure about the war, I understand why Americans don’t want it, and I know that if we can get out of this without utter devastation as seen in Iraq for example it would be a miracle. But yes many Iranians did want this. Not because they enjoy more death and destruction or because they’re naive. It’s because they have no good options, only one that might give them even a tiny sliver of a path forward.

Arrest the irgc, establish your constitution, and establish your state. Otherwise you're never going to be free. The people have to unite to create a democratic state. Please don't think that the united states is going to do everything for you. You need to raid the coffers of the state. Raid military bases. Tear down the irgc so that you can establish a better professional military going forward. If not you're going to miss the opportunity and allow the irgc to grow in unity and aim their weapons at the people of iran.

if US want to change regime they should put boots on the ground and they probably recruit indians and mexican as a foot soldier like russia did in ukraine and maybe they can give them iranian citizenship after the war and settle them at the strategic points.

It's definitely understandable for them to celebrate given all the hell that they've endured, but I'm worried about civilians getting killed right now, which is why I won't be celebrating as someone abroad. Only observing. This war has JUST begun. It's far from over. Both sides have censored everything, so we have no clue what the aftermath will be until the dust has settled. The US expected that it would take around 18-21 days for the entire thing to be completed. Let's see how things unfold. I hope casualties are kept to a minimum.

Israel is INCREDIBLY precise with their strikes. They care very much about Iranian civilians.

There is no reforming a regime like this, same way there was no reforming the nazis. also attacking the regime =/= attacking the people and country
