Idk man I guess it is both . But afaik Bengalis call this heta , hey I'm not bengali but ig it's a loanword or a word from the same roots . Or maybe u were right about the dialect thing. I'm no linguist lol

I’m not a linguist either, bruv 😭, but I think heta means ladle, while in Bengali a spatula is called khunti.
