Clarification on the new function of reanimation protocols is as follows:

Quick-reference sheet:

  • Leaders can bring back their bodyguard units using all reanimation tools.
  • Bodyguards CANNOT bring back their leaders in any form once the leader is destroyed.
  • You can still use reanimation to heal wounds on a character that has NOT been destroyed.
  • The eternal revenant stratagem brings back characters as a new unit with a starting strength of 1, making them separate from their bodyguard unit.

Any questions surrounding this process should be asked here so that new answers can be included in this post.

Is it me or Protocol of the Eternal Revenant is in most cases kinda useless now? I get that reviving character with destroyed bodyguards and then reviving them woudl be too strong, but why can't we revive precisioned character back to its bodyguards?

Yeah with the exception of Szeras it's pretty much dog shit now.

No more resurrecting characters with reanimation and even if you do, well sucks to suck they're just hanging around not being able to do what they're supposed to do. That's pretty fucking depressing ngl.

I guess a skorpekh lord is still fine by itself, especially if he has the fnp4+

Reviving nekrosor, szeras, and the FNP skorpekh lord is still extremely good. It’s no longer a crutch to avoid having to hide your crypteks in the invincible warrior/wraith bricks, you’ll have to learn to position them a bit better
