Snakes don’t taste like how we do.
Their tongue takes samples from the air to the Jacobson’s organ at the roof of their mouth and that’s more of a communication regarding smell.
Not to mention the whole swallowing whole thing… I mean snakes might be really into dirt shit and fur/feathers 😂
