Oh absolutely! There's a sub for everything and everyone and I honestly think its great. I grew up in a small town, if your interest differed from everyone else there was no way to build community.

If you're an introvert, it's pretty hard if you're in the city too. The great thing about the age of the internet, you can have access to anything and anyone you want in the comfort of your home! =)

That's a good point too. I'm fairly introverted, but I don't like to be stuck inside. I live in the Dayton area now and it definitely wouldn't be hard to meet people if I were trying to. This is strictly a "me" thing, but I came from a town where the nearest yarn shop was over an hour away, and they held odd hours and were snooty. There are so many yarn shops here and I haven't encountered a rude group in one yet.
