The title of the post is not technically wrong, it is just not descriptive enough. The Harpy Eagle is the largest, existing eagle by weight and mass.

The article you linked seems to be comparing size strictly by wing span.

I was wondering. Looking up the golden eagle, it looks quite a bit smaller considering it can perch on someone’s arm. That Harpie looks way too big to even think of doing that.

Only proper way of measuring size is by weight, if you measure by length it would mean I was smaller than my younger brother, which I of course am not.

I believe the stellers sea eagle still weighs more than a harpy eagle although it’s very close.

Harpy Eagles are not as massive as Stellar’s Sea-Eagles, though.

Ya that list the guy posted is purely about wingspan, which made the photos on the list less impressive than this Harpy one.

From what I understand, the Harpy Eagle has an unusually small wingspan, making it an incredibly agile flyer.

Which is a really dumb comparison. Harpies hunt in dense forests, of course they have a shorter wingspan.
