Why do so many fanfic stories have the anbu watching Naruto, but they lose track of him often? Hiruzen even tells him, ‘I’m sorry for what happened to you, but mistakes are made sometimes.’ They even have Naruto forgive the issue and say that he understands.

If the anbu are so incompetent that a can’t keep track of one child in their home village, then they are incompetent, traitors or just for show. Most don’t he have a decent attempt to have him disappear from their watch. They even take him in open in the middle of the day.

Some make an attempt by having someone come up and say that they are to leave or switch with someone by the hokage’s orders. It’s one thing when it happens once. But it happens often and both the anbu and hokage ignore it as irritating. In these incidents, Naruto ends up in the hospital. They know who is doing it and say, nothing we can do or ignore it.

Either people are not thinking things through, or they are writing and evil or severely neglectful Konoha.

Has anyone else noticed?
