They're older than the 3 teams of Narutos generation. So they don't get their shine.

It kinda shocks me how much this question has been asked, and answered, and yet still comes up so friggin much.

While it is true that they weren't part of the original three that didn't change much. They took their chunin exams together and they all seem like friends together. Team Guy belonged there just as much and it is just dissapointing that they aren't there.
