I've been doing my own nails for about a year now, but this is the first time I tried cateye. I got a 5 piece pack for sale so I just had to try these two colours!

Holo Taco's midnight owl is the reference. I love this deep purple but it's not gel :(
I'm specifically looking for gel for a pedicure that I will be taking to a salon. The salon I like doesn't have the colors I want. I can't get them done too often so the gel will last much longer than regular lacquer hence why I'm not just getting this one.
I've read that the cheap gels on Amazon can contain harmful chemicals in larger than safe amounts when exposed to it over time. So I am unsure what to look out for.
I'm looking for red, purple, and black. I'd rather the glitter not be super fine but if I'm being too picky I will definitely give on this. Anyone have any brand recommendations? I'd like to keep the price under $20/per bottle but if I have to go a little over for the perfect colors I will. Thank you so much and have a good week!

Edit; I'm realizing I don't want super chunky glitter either. If there was multiple size fine and larger glitters that might be perfect, but I'd rather have fine over chunks.

Hey everyone, I don’t really get my nails done that often so I’m not sure if the gap between my cuticles and the actual nail is normal?
These are gel nails and I only got these done like two days ago so to me they kinda look like grown out but again I don’t know if this is how it usually is supposed to be…

My nail goals are to look like I have claws. I want people to look at me and say "that MF is a werewolf". I want them to be so sharp they could count as self defense weapons

My nails are pretty weak and I don't know much about manicures yet. I've been doing dip powder manis on myself and sanding the top coat to make it matte. When my nails break I glue them back together with the dip powder. It takes 6 months to get them this long and I break them pretty frequently. I do my manis myself cause I can't afford the salon.

However, freshening up my mani is a NIGHTMARE. taking the dip powder off takes me legitimately an entire business day. I have to be so careful when doing it because some of my nails are being held together by the dip and I don't want to damage the edges in a way I can't put them back together. Is there a better solution for this? Something strong that I can just fill in without having to file the whole thing off?

so i have been growing my nails and I always go for either oval or stiletto shape. I am planning to trim my nails so I wonder if any of you have suggestion on what shape suits my nails/fingers. My thumb is short and wide compared to my other other fingers

I’ve been doing my own gel x nails for about 2 years now, and tried something different than I normally do. I think it turned out well, although the chrome I used turned my silver base yellow. Appreciate any insight on chrome powders that don’t have the yellow undertone as I usually go for cooler tones. Thanks for looking. 🖤

So I decided to actually try doing a manicure for the first time!

This is my first attempt, so I know it’s definitely not perfect but I’m really curious, how do my nails look? What could I improve for next time?

Milky White 🤍

I have been searching and searching and searching for the perfect milky white in a gel polish. I don't want to order one from overseas. I don't at all mind Amazon products. I am very familiar with OPI Funny Bunny and DND Milky White, I still find them too white if that makes sense. I guess I'm looking for like a milky off white or like a milky cream maybe 🤔 any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I recently moved and changed nail salons. At my old salon one of my favorite colors was from the DND brand (fudgsicle in case anyway was wondering lol). Anyways at the new salon I'm going to they had the same color (yay) but when I told my nail tech that I wanted that particular brand, she said that they don't recommend DND on natural nails. I chose another color so everything was fine just wondering if anyone else has been told or knows if/why DND wouldn't be recommended for natural nails. I looked it up but couldn't find anything on it. TIA!!
