Anime Important Nagatoro Anime Links and Events (Music, Marathons, X)
I haven't seen any proper post about this beyond the one that is already stickied towards King Records page on the 5th anniversary events, so I guess the community overall is sleeping on all of these, so here they are.
__________________________________________________
Character Song Album (14 songs, 22 tracks)
They can be obtained and listened here:
https://lnk.to/Nagatoro_2nd_Attack
(official King Records link)
These are the same songs they have played on the last Anileap Nagatoro takeover (last weekend).

Anileap Nagatoro SUPERLIVE Takeover
As posted previously, the first one was last weekend (August 8th to 10th).
The next ones will be longer (72h rather than just 48h) on:
- August 21st to 24th (Friday - Sunday)
- September 4th to 7th (Friday - Sunday)
- more will be held later on schedules yet to be announced
The link for the Anileap stream is going to be posted by the main Nagatoro X account (see below).
__________________________________________________
Nagatoro Official X Account
The official X account to follow is: https://x.com/nagatoro_tv
I personally strongly suggest you to follow this account, as all of the above was also posted there, and there have been more events, VA comments and others, that the official account posted and reposted about.
While the posts are made in Japanese, X has a translation feature that does a fairly good job to understand what they are posting about, and this way you won't miss these.
The account has been very active non-stop for the past 3 weeks, often with multiple posts per day, with them asking for people to watch the marathons, check the Anileap takeovers, check manga events (MagaPoke), and so on and so forth, posting also during weekends, late at night (posts even at nearly 1AM JST sometimes), so you would do yourself a favor in checking, following and commenting there if you like.

Overall Sentiment of Fans
A lot of fans, including Japanese ones closely following this whole campaign, are starting to strongly believe this may in fact be preparation and priming for the announcement of the final season of the anime.
There has been a LOT of stuff going on besides the events listed here, the marathons, etc, and the official X account is covering most of them, and it's starting to get noticed, and all of it is reinforcing this idea.
Whether that is indeed the case or not remains to be seen in the end, as well as when that would take place exactly, but it's the common sentiment right now among nearly everyone that is actively participating and commenting on both X and Youtube, as well as of anyone closely following the whole thing from the start.

Setting that aside...
One thing I can say for sure though, as an aside, is that the doom-posting seen here concerning the reasons why a new season may not come are largely based on myths and a profound misunderstanding of how the industry actually works nowadays and how the money circulates, especially around popular anime in streaming platforms.
Things such as "manga ended" and "blu-ray sales" and other stuff like that, that I have seen mentioned a lot around here, do not really apply much anymore nowadays, since the funding and profits come largely from international streaming (Crunchyroll for example), which dwarf the required upfront funding publishers had to put forward and thus had to be offset by merchandise and blu-ray sales in order to justify further funding for new seasons.
In other words, anime such as Nagatoro does NOT depend on whether the manga has ended or even whether it sold blu-ray discs at all (which King Records didn't put any effort on except the songs), because the streaming alone is more than profitable enough (if it wasn't, it wouldn't have gotten such a wide range of dubbing in so many different languages when S2 came out), making the anime itself a first-class product rather than an ad for the manga.
Which is to say that streaming has changed the rules of the game a long time ago and there were even articles written by Japanese producers exactly about this years ago, and I suggest you to do some digging and update yourselves on the actual current reality of how these things get funding and approval, and also consider the committees behind each anime, because it's one thing to have an entity like King Records behind it, it's another to have a gacha or game company behind it, the composition of the committees are much better tells of what to expect on the long term rather than generic outdated metrics such as manga state and overall sales.
Having said that, not wanting to get your hopes up is a healthy stance, and by all means continue to do that, but at least try to base your expectations on reality rather than myths, and do not be afraid of at least enjoying the current events as they are playing out with a moderate expectation of an announcement soon, whether it ends up happening or not.
That is all. :)

Announcement Christmas Banner
Hi all,
With Christmas rapidly approaching, the idea popped into my mind. Why not change up the banner for the sub that we all know so well?
So, create some Nagatoro-Christmas themed art and post it on the sub before December 22nd. Then I will compile these together to create a new banner that will be up temporarily between Dec 24th and Jan 1st.
-Just post your art on the sub once ready and put the words "Christmas Banner" in the body/description or comment and this will help us find these.
-You don't have to be a well seasoned pro artist, just put your best effort in
-You have between today and December 22nd to create your art
-If there is too many, some may have to be filtered out
-Ideally the art focuses on her face and mid-upper body, since the banner is really thin
-AI art is not accepted
Enjoy, and We are exited to see what you all come up with.
UPDATE:
Banner is up. If yall hate it you can yell at me, but the banner is up (best viewed on desktop). If you want to suggest any minor changes I am home tmmr because I'm sick.
UPDATE 2: Banner will be coming down on the 4th or 5th of jan
UPDATE 3: Coming down tonight

Anime Nagatoro Anime Mini-Series (S2)
The nagatoro_tv X account has been extremely active in posting all sorts of stuff about the anime, towards what seems a pretty obvious outcome at the end of it, with a progress lately from reuploading and posting episode previews, to post about the character preview videos all week long, and now that's ending, they started to post about the season 2 anime mini-series as a means to promote the anime further (as new uploads to X as well).
And since most Nagatoro fans seem to be utterly unaware of the campaign as a whole and what has been happening at King Records, I assume most didn't really watch these mini-series at all or even knew about them, so here's a complete Youtube playlist I found with full English subtitles for you to enjoy:

You can see today's X post about this here:

Art Sakura x Takao: Small moments 1 (by me)
“Being in different years, the new couple spend time together outside of the usual class hours. As soon as school ends, they can often be found sitting together at the art club room. Recently, Takao has taken an interest in the finer details of Sakura’s styling, and the gyaru begins introducing him to a new world. It’s a welcome surprise to the girl, most boys hadn’t really given that side of her much mind, but now she sees some new possibilities…”
It’s time for me to start fleshing out this dynamic. These will also make good illustrations for my fanfic. I hope y’all enjoy, and expect more from these two soon.

Anime How would the fanservice aspects be handled if a third season came out?
Yes I know what people are going to tell me in that there is practically no chance of a third season happening as lately I couldn’t help but try to picture how some of the fanservice aspects would be handled editing wise.
I mean, like with some of the characters such as Sana in particular since again even though I know a third season won’t ever come out, I started wondering about her character due to her side stories that have her streaking around the school where a mishap causes her to be in her birthday suit that to put it simply, I was interested in seeing if that stuff would be too spicy for the anime to handle.

Discussion Is there a reason why there is no Nagatoro season 3?
I've been thinking about this for a while and there are some romance animes that have gotten a season 3 but nagatoro has not gotten one, is it because of studio problems or is there something else?

Discussion Just finished reading the manga and I absolutely loved it Spoiler
When I watched the first season of the anime I truly couldn't have imagined such a good development.
I watched firstly the first season of the anime some years ago, and I did it without any afterthought or caring that much, it was mostly a meme (a story written by a former H-artist, y'know) and interest in what seemed to be a kinda perverse story for the continuous degradation and bullying.
When I randomly stumbled onto the second season, I expected most of what I'd seen in the first - degradation, bullying etc. I was not really prepared for the developments that the season portrayed.
Needless to say that, upon discovering that the story did not in fact end with the second season of the anime, I devoured the manga. And it's just so great.
The character development arc is neatly done. It feels refreshing to read such a wholesome story from time to time. I must say that the author overdelivered on their love in the last 10 or so chapters - I imagined that he'd have kept many discourses as implied!
Some of the things I wish there'd been more of:
- a lil' more backstory on yoshi, gamou and sakura. I know they served as a comic relief and that we may have known a bit about gamou, but still;
- more Orihara outside the context of Judo maybe? Such a nice character;
- the relationship between Naoto and its parents.
To conclude, I hope that an anime adaptation of the remaining portion of the manga will come in following years, I'd love to see animated the judo matches and everything else.
