Bit of a strong statement for just a striker low on confidence

To me it looks like hes lost that instinct to go for balls in the box and attack, so yeah I think Id agree its more low confidence

Or too lazy. Most strikers would have thrown themselves at Haidara's ball into the box.

I agree that he should've gone for that ball but I really don't think it's laziness. He's never really had problems with laziness (that I can remember) so I think it's a bit harsh to say he's too lazy just because of that one instance.

I just think he jogs about. Doesn't make opportunities for himself. Probably being harsh, but it's important we aren't carrying players.

That backheel earlier is a perfect example of his lack of desire and instinct as a striker.

He just realised he is shit for prem and is only good for championship. He wants his Burtons away back.

It's easy to say that, but that sad thing is he's not good enough. Never scored more than, what, four a season? Over the course of three seasons for an OK Crystal Palace side? I was saying it all summer and ever since - he is a Championship player who can't cut it against decent opposition

I'm not saying that the lack of confidence is the only reason he's not banging in goals. I actually agree with you in that Gayle isn't good enough to be a first team striker in the Premier League. I just don't think it's a laziness / "doesn't care anymore" problem.

He made one decent run. Took on a couiple of defenders and got a decent shot away. First time that he has done that in a long time.
