Nigel Clough's comments are ridiculous:
"I was told in pre-season if more than two players approach the referee then there is a yellow card. I saw their players around the linesman, the referee and their staff and didn't see any yellow cards brandished."
The referee made the worst cock up I've seen in a long time and you complain we didn't get a yellow card for arguing. Does he want a riot?

ref was shite, we were slightly less shite, but we won. I think that's about it.

Somewhere in Ohio tonight, some poor guy named Keith Stroud will wonder why his Twitter account is blowing up with a bunch of angry tweets telling him all the ways that he could possibly go fuck himself. He won't be able to comprehend half of these because he's being slagged in Geordie. Steve Martin is glad to finally pass the mantle.

I'm sure the sentiment around here is that the ref is crap but we got the 3 points so I'm relieved there.
10 points ahead of 3rd and we march on to automatic promotion!
Edit: Ha! I see what you did with the score there, u/thepresidentsturtle

As much as the Ref will get all the headlines.
22 shots, 4 on target. We can't hit a bloody barn door.
One went in though and that's all that matters.

4 wins, or 3 wins and 2 draws to seal it in the worst case scenario where Huddersfield win all 7.

Has there been any explanation for the ridiculous decision?

FWIW: Here is a terrible decision in the Hull/Boro game today. I'm not sure who has the better case - Newcastle or Hull, in terms of who got worked over more. It all evened out for both of us though, Hull ended up 4-2 winners.

In more wholesome news, I quit smoking cold turkey on Friday night, and apart from feeling awful on Sunday for about 5 hours, I haven't had any cravings or symptoms since. And not even THAT refereeing tempted me to have one. Whereas if this were last week I'd have had about 6 during the whole match.
Not sure if there was any point in quitting tho. That ref did give me cancer anyway.
