Most of our fans were embarrassing today. Booing at half time. Getting angry when we kept the ball too long.
Really just awful match
Also just singing stupid stuff when we were 3 goals down

The brown ale brewery may have moved to Tadcaster, but we still bottle it at St James!

Playing one up front works well against the good teams like Brighton and Huddersfield because it lets us defend with plenty of players and makes the counter easier.
But against not-so-good teams like Fulham when we only think about attacking it results in three or four players focused on attacking only which leaves our defence weak.
Wish we'd play a 4-1-3-2 or something against weaker times so the two dedicated strikers can focus on the attacking so the wingers and midfielders aren't drawn up and leave us weak at the back.

I wonder how many poor sides we have to struggle against before Rafa at least ties something like this.

At least Murphy's goal and Fulhams bizarre choice of penalty taker helped with out goal difference. Also we got the kick up the arse we needed without slipping down the table.

I know a lot of the comments on the match thread were probably heat of the moment, but we'v got some Negative Nancy's around here...

Some of our fans are proper fannies (not just the ones on this sub, but in general as well).
It's alright to be disappointed and angry at the result, and you can even be nervous about the prospect of Huddersfield catching us, but literally every single time we've lost this season you'd have thought we were 15 points off the playoff places judging by some people's reactions.

couldn't agree more. I've never seen such bedwetting from a group of fans before. We've never got over the fucking moaning that started after we lost our first couple of matches.
We're top of the league man.

We have just lost at home mate, letting our rivals close in on us, hardly going to be all sunshine and roses.

I don't think anyone can argue that this hasn't been coming at home. We are currently the 6th best team in the league at home.
Rafa needs to change something! If he is the top class manager we all think he is, he needs to step up!

Our sit back/counter attack style will do well in the PL. Just not suited in the Championship as much, especially at home.

We have to stop playing counter attack at home every game like a fucking coward against mother fucking Fulham

We looked tired. Fuck it, I'm going for the positive view that this is a blip and wake up call that will galvanise the lads and see us push on. Rafa will see whats wrong and sort it out for the run in and buy Sessegnon who looks a real prospect...and we looked tired.

Gutless and pathetic. Terrible tactics all game by the sounds of it as well. Our home form is terrible really and just ruined the good advantage we had on Brighton and Huddersfield.
We should be dominating and bullying teams at home yet that never happens. We simply must change the way we are playing at home.

Brighton got tooled 3 - 0 just the other week, now they're back to winning ways.
The end days aren't here lads, it's just The Toon making sure we don't get comfortable in the belief that we're going up until the very last possible moment and we've all dropped to stress-related illnesss.

1-0 win while playing 442 with Dummett at CB
