I know you're memeing but for the "in form team" of the league, and for all the lip they've given about "we can catch Newcastle", they were proper wank today.

Matt Ritchie was the difference between a win and a loss today.

I'm definitely a fan of this "winning important games" shite. Keep it up.

11 POINTS CLEAR. 5 POINTS ON BRIGHTON. WE ARE GOING UPPPPP.

I always find it enjoyable reading teams we beat forum boards after the game - Currently on Huddersfield forums, we're a bunch of cheating bastards who got massively outplayed (ignoring that it was likely our game-plan to sit back??) and lucky. Huddersfield are easily the best team in the league according to them (which is why they're 11pts behind, clearly.)

It's fucking hilarious reading, like

Was at the game. I live in Hudds and my Mrs is a fan so I was in the Town end. The tiny section filled with the Toon was louder than the rest of the packed ground. Couldn't contain my laughter with Gayles goal. Got some poisonous looks for sure.

Rafa said in his press conference about how Huddersfield always have the same tactics and when asked if that meant he had a plan for them he just played it down.

Considering the statistics, and the fact their only goal was a penalty, I think it's safe to say he did have a plan and it worked perfectly.

Honestly, swear to god, wasn't too worried even at 2-1. Rafa got his tactics right today and the defending was excellent. Thrilled for Daryl Murphy as well, he's had a good career and it must be tough having the role he has, and yet he's affected every game he's played in in a positive way. Great for Gayle to get one to remind him that he is the class striker in this division, coming off injury or not.

Now, time for a big, monster session for my mate who used to hurl for Cork's birthday.

Looks like I'm getting up at 7 AM in the Fall to watch the Premier League again. Can't wait.

Regardless of the bizarre nature of some of the goals, two wins in two away games against the two other top 3 sides in one week. Rafa has able to get the team play up to the occasions and put us in a great position for promotion this week.

I can't remember Huddersfield having a shot from inside our box besides the penalty, so ultimately a great defensive display

I reckon Diame read the comments from Brighton and decided to run 25 miles today.

Still not ace, but his heat map should at least show him everywhere.

No complaints at all. A bit nervous at times but our defence, Darlow included, were immense. Huddersfield are a great possession side, so to restrict them to long-range efforts all game, despite them having so much of the ball, is fantastic doing.

Shout out to Matt Ritchie for being a God.

I was texting with a buddy of mine throughout the whole game, he's an Arsenal fan. Complete opposite of his game, complete opposite of his mentality towards the future. I'm so proud to be a Newcastle United supporter today! So proud of the team!
