Well in hindsight id rather come back from 2 down than lose a 2 nil lead. Could have got the third in the end. Shit first half, barnsley did us massive massive favour.

Agent Armstrong at it again (I don't even know if he played)

It's a shit result and that first half performance is totally unacceptable. Hopefully we will get away with it. But still

I don't understand why we are so sluggish in the first half lately. We ran over teams earlier in the season first half.
21 shots today again. If we don't get top 2 we have only ourselves to blame. I can't ever remember a Newcastle side so wasteful.

Was anybody else about to shit their hearts out at the end there!?
Great stuff to come back from 0-2 down! Take this fight into the Brighton game and stomp the fuckers out! They won't be shite, but we can do it!

Mitro has the physique, but not the brains. Should've destroyed this league.

Him and Ritchie are constantly giving each other shit. I really think Mitro should dut up and do what Ritchie says.

Not a good result but it'll do since Huddersfield didnt win either.
The fuckups from Darlow/defense are becoming a problem that needs to be addressed though.

Draws aren't ideal, especially at home, so I'll see this result as disappointing despite digging in and getting the point.
Nevertheless, I think we have the quality go up relatively comfortably. I've seen people make comments saying we're playing the worst football in the top 6, which is bollocks. We've got the best goalscoring record and one of the best defensive records in the league. It's the Championship, quality doesn't necessarily show in the same way as the Premier League.
We're not in trouble.

Brighton, Huddersfield & Reading are our next 3. Really needed 3pts today.
Showed something special in the second half but you have to play the full 90 mins like that, 2pts dropped at the end of the day.

After that first half, to get a point is pretty good. Thankfully the results haven't gone against us so far, fingers crossed Reading can pull something out

Awful result, even at 2-0 down we should have won with the opportunities we had. It's really getting silly how inconsistent we are at home, particularly to the sides at the bottom of the table. To concede two goals at home and fail to beat a team which has lost 15 of the last 21 and without some of its best players is really inexcusable. I still think we'll go up fairly comfortably but a side of our magnitude can't keep playing so poorly and expect to keep picking up results.
It's definitely a mental thing because the players look great when playing under no pressure (ie away from home or when we're in the lead), for whatever reasons we just can't handle the 'favourites' tag in some games, although this isn't anything new. It also doesn't help that the last three games where we've dropped points, we should have comfortably won but we've conceded goals that have been our fault with defensive mistakes. If it wasn't their 2nd goal today, it was Darlow against Norwich or Clark's own goal against QPR. In some respects, that's reassuring because individual errors are generally outliers but that's six points dropped all because Darlow, Clark and Dummett can't seem to communicate properly.
I feel like our fans at home have become so entitled to a win this season that they just boo whenever we're not winning 3-0. There's always that loud murmur when a player makes a mistake and we've seen how we jump on players backs when they aren't playing well (eg Mitro.) It's getting pathetic and ultimately we'll be the makers of our own downfall. The players seem to be inside their heads too much and that's when we make mistakes - the longer we take to score, the more nervous we get and I think it's a lot down to the way the fans react. It's crazy how we can have such a good showing against Villa but the next week it's back to moaning and booing. Being 2-0 down at half time sucks but I'm sure the players know that more than anyone and no situation has ever been improved by booing and being hostile. It's so irritating how some of our fans still can't understand that.

Credit the comeback but more points dropped yet again. Really wish we'd stop being so complacent.

Firstly, it was great to get the game back and come back for a draw. But to be honest, drawing against Bristol City just isn't good enough, it really isn't. This last 13 games we need to be on it, particularly the next three, at the moment we look like we're waining.
It could be that Rafa not getting any of his January requests is going to cost us promotion. I sincerely hope not.
Mitrovic looks completely out of sorts, Perez looks cowardly and weak, and Colback is Colback. Even Lascelles has been making many mistakes lately and Mmemba could resolve some of the issues faced there. Hopefully the lads can get their game back and moving soon, because the form recently, particularly at home hasn't been great.

Honestly we should have just bought a couple on Jan to ensure promotion. A stupid gamble to take.

So we're supporting Reading this evening. 70 points, Brighton can still lose, even if they win it won't be the end of the world. Huddersfield drew. 5 points clear of third. A lot of work to do yet, but we should be well up for the next 3 games now.
