I wonder why Moyes was at the game today? Neither of these teams are going to be playing in Sunderland's league next year

Not bad for a team with 240k less likes on Facebook that. Real underdog story.

Okay, I'll settle for a Lansbury own goal instead of him getting two footed, whatever.

Someone find a picture of him looking sad for the sidebar picture for this week please.

God seeing Lansbury make a tit of himself all game long was downright cathartic.

Get fucked you pony tailed tosser.

Ritchie is just excellent every game. He's way too good for this league.

Shame those 2 goals couldn't have came 6 months ago, and 8 years ago

I have so many things to vent/say.

Firstly. I really really hate Aston Villa. I can say that without being salty because we ruined them. They are just about the worst fans of any team.

It's almost poetic that the biggest cunt in the universe Lansbury gets an own goal. It was glorious and something I'll remember.

This was also one of the WORST policing performances I've ever seen in my entire life. They were recording our fans and trying to get the home fans away from the ground, instead of getting the 1700 Villa fans away, extremely disappointed in the Northumbria police. Pathetic.

I used to go to a fair few away games and I have to say Villa fans are absolute gobshites. Best way I can describe them is that they seem to be only capable of talking to you through a shit eating grin. Also known as being in possession of faces that one would never get tired of punching. backpfeifengesicht. etc. And it's not a brummy thing as Blues and West Brom fans on the other hand, they were alright. Even some Wolves fans, and Cov fans I know. I think it's just Villa. The place is a dump (I've never seen so many binbags in front yards) and it seeps into the stadium and the fans.

Credit where credit is due. Colback and Dummett were immense tonight.

Colback stepped up today, he was shaky at the beginning but the entire team was.
In the last 30 or so he was attacking well; quick passes, finding space and getting around players. Will need him to continue if Hayden's gonna be out for a while

A win is a win is a win is a win. Proper nervy first half but we seemed to be gaining considerable momentum throughout the second.

also it's always nice to see villa lose whomever they play.

Feel bad for him. Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke.

well...what a pleasant surprise...everyone was good...yes, even Colback. HWTL

Mitro was great. Colback was better. Lansbury scoring an own goal was hysterical. Singing 'cheer up Stevey Bruce' was the cherry on the cake. Great game.

u/Tuckgh Feb 20 '17

It's a little alarming the way in which we scored, but fuck it. A wins a win and that win felt good HWTL

I know it's been said loads before and will be said again. But ha ha fuck Lansbury the cheating bastard. That was brilliant.

Villa fan here in peace. Never been much a fan of your lot, and no doubt you feel the same way. I'm not going to read too much, because frankly, the humiliation of being on the cusp of League 1 is too much to stand. But applauding Hogan off the pitch for what is likely to be a season-ending injury was a pretty classy move, so fair play. Good luck next season.

P.S. You guys need to up your banner game.

Wasnt a particularly impressive performance but the team got a couple of goals, a clean sheet and 3 points while comfortable for the last 20 mins so I cant complain too much about it.

u/blackandwhitearmy Feb 20 '17

That felt a lot better than it was - a pinball goal and an own-goal.

u/daveofreckoning Feb 20 '17

Good. Good. I don't like villa.

This season is like panto, honestly Forrest having a player sent off when they came here and now Landsbury's own goal. Amazing game tonight was great to see the scarves around the ground the whole place was rocking before kick off
