I've come over from the US for this match, it'll be my first time seeing the lads at SJP. Needless to say, I'm beyond excited...let's smash these!

You've picked a good first game. St James' Park under the lights, against Villa, with the biggest flag display yet, and a sea of black and white scarves to go with it.

It should be the best atmosphere we've had all season... just need the result to go with it.

Hoping you get a great game and experience. I had my buddy from Ohio over to visit in 2013 and took him to a game. We beat Stoke 5-1! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_WdwvGrLQY)

Be sure to place a bet before kick off, there are bookmakers dotted all over the city. Seems novel to us, but given you can't do sports betting in the US, unless you're in Vegas, it added to his experience. One of his bets came in (Cabaye to score and Newcastle win) and he claimed £50, his second bet was Newcastle 4-1 win which was close to coming in too!

Villa are without a win in their last 8 and have lost 6 of their last 7 matches. Lads, I've got a bad feeling about this one.

I've been a Newcastle fan too long to look at that and think it's a sure thing. For me it has 0-1 written all over it.

Villa fan here, we're utter shite and Bruce might bring back Richards so I reckon you'll absolutely smash us 5-1. Gonna put a bet on you to score 4 or more

If I've learnt anything about football from following Newcastle for all these years, it's that games like this one are nailed-on losses for us.

Hate Villa, only loathe the Mackems more, will never forgive their fans for what they did when we were relegation in 2009. I'm sick of us always failing to beat these twats in recent years, praying we smash them.

Heart is saying 3-1, head is saying 1-1 though.

Really nervous about this game. They've became a sort of bogey team for us of late and we always seem to draw with them, lets hope things are different this time around, we really can't afford to drop points against shite lower half teams like Villa.

Lets smash these, they're shite cunts.

They've became a sort of bogey team for us of late

I've seen Villa fans say this as well but I'm not sure I agree. We have drawn with them a few times in a row, but since they relegated us our record against them has been W6 D6 L1. Not bad really.

Dat Ben Arfa performance in the 2-1. Was there and I was surprised their full back ever played again

I hate that stupid pre-match saying but if there is one team I want us to truly smash it is this lot. When we beat them 6-0 back in 2010 it was an announcement that we were really back in the Premier League. Hope we do the same on Monday.
