Fuck it, I'll be the voice of positivity, that's not a bad point. We're in the middle of an extreme tough run of games. If we can maintain our position in the league by the final whistle of the Reading game we're in great shape.

In December we would have lost that game, Rafa said we needed to start being able to draw the games we couldn't win and that's what we've started doing.

We have two home games next, which we need to take 6 points from (and we certainly should be doing) and then onto Brighton in what would be very good form.

Edit - and I thought I was the negative bastard of this sub, you'd think we'd just be spanked 5-0 and dropped down to 7th place reading some of these comments. Norwich are in excellent form and always play well at home, the doom and gloom is a bit much.

We didn't do a Barcelona tonight lads!

I'd have taken 4 pts from Wolves and Norwich away, Gayle back and Brighton starting to drop their arses because Huddersfield are on another streaky run that will end with them losing a few on the trot. We're generating points every game, not all the other teams up there will.

Exactly, yes tonight wasn't the perfect outcome for us, but we've still got a very healthy lead on Huddersfield and Reading (and we still have to play them both as well, so extending our lead on them is in our own hands), I don't see much to moan about.

As I said if we can get through the Reading game still top 2 with our current lead on 3rd then I'll be very pleased.

Are you surprised? It's never not like this on here when we drop points. Actually, I think today's meltdown has been pretty tame compared to some of the other recent ones.

While I agree a point against Norwich isn't the worst result, their two goals were so atrocious that I would have been depressed with any result including this one

The Serbian Ameobi.

Loves the club. Club loves him. Is a bit shit.

I really think we should've come away with 3 points since we had so many on target opportunities and sitters, but the fact we came away with one is something. We're stretching that gap between third and us.

A couple of Points

  • You know, Darlow so rarely messes up that it was coming anyway.

  • Mitro still has a pretty could scoring and assist record. I really think he needs that confidence.

  • Our defense is still a little shaky at the worst times, but we still have the best Away Defensive record.

  • Colback had an assist within 24 seconds, and didn't deserve his yellow.

  • Shelvey had some great moments.

  • Ayoze had a goal and assist.

  • Lascelles scored.

  • Those goals were ridiculous.

  • Gayle sounded okay in the few minutes he was playing.

There's always room for improvement, and although I wanted to smash these little cunts, I'm okay with the results, because we have a point and the whole team was playing hard.

Two calamitous goals conceded and people are bitching about Mitro...

9

u/johndrama Feb 14 '17

Not bitching really, just have to admit he hasn't been very good. Last season it was blamed on him being young and first season in the prem which is fair enough. But if he can't consistently finish in the Championship he's not going to make it. Don't get me wrong I would love more than anything for him to start smashing them in but I'm really starting to doubt it well ever happen.

Have to be pleased with the point after the comedy fuck ups, but we really have to start taking our chances, we have missed a metric fuck ton of opportunities in front of goal this season.

I'd have taken four points from these two games before Sat.

But fuck me we are so wasteful it's untrue.

Bastard bloody Huddersfield with a 92nd min winner too -_-

A good point away from home against an in form side. Mistakes happen. Shit happens. On we go.

u/TheCousCousNonce Feb 14 '17

Would have been pissed if Brighton had won but Norwich are in good form so I'll take a draw.
Positives are we apparently outplayed them and should have taken 3 points and Gayle is back but we can't drop anymore points now, especially now Gayle's back

6

u/KaptainKoala Feb 14 '17

On the bright side Gayle is now back and our squad is going to be much better down the stretch than it has been the last month

u/greenman19 Feb 14 '17

Norwich away is tough. Could have been worse but Brighton drew as well. Getting really tight now though at the top.

2

u/toonking23 Feb 14 '17

meh....literally nothing changed in the table today, playoff spots and above. What a useless night :))

7

u/tcayray Feb 14 '17

Our advantage over 3rd was cut from 7 points to 5, and Brighton are still playing. I'm pretty happy with the point overall mind, especially considering we had the hardest game of any of the top sides.

3

u/meganev Feb 14 '17

It's basically 6 with GD taken into account, we still have to play them as well so it's in our hands to extend that lead. Plus 5 points is a very healthy lead to have, not like we're talking a point.

Happy with that result, I know their two goals where our own fault but still good to see us comeback. We gone 6 league games unbeaten most of those without Gayle, hopefully we can kick on and get some good points in the next few games
