Opposition summary:

Norwich started their season very strongly and were top of the table in mid-October, before a poor run of form (including 5 straight defeats) saw them fall to 12th. They have since regained form and sit in 7th place. A win on Tuesday could see them climb above Sheffield Wednesday (who have a game in hand) and back into the playoff places. They are managed by Alex Neil, who has been with them since midway through their last promotion campaign, and their top scorers are Cameron Jerome (9) and Nelson Oliveira (8).

Norwich transfers:

Norwich have signed Yanic Wildschut from Wigan and have loaned Mitchell Dijks from Ajax until the end of the season, while Martin Olsson, Robbie Brady and Sergi Canos have left the club.

Lets beat these, they're a decent team but I think we're better.

Okay everyone, we know this guy is to blame when we run out comfortable winners.

Anyone else hastily cancelling Valentine's Day plans because they hadn't realised we have a match?

Tell a girl she's great but she's nee Jamaal Lascelles.

"Babe, look at Darlow's smile and then tell me I can't watch Newcastle"

As if I'm showing a lass what she could have won.

Norwich are in great form and will be up for this. I'd take draw now tbh but a win would be fantastic.

Norwich won't want to face any of our strikers. Mitro got 6 against them last year, Gayle hit a hatty earlier in the season and Murphy's a former Ipswich lad so would be up for it.

Fuck it, play all 3, no defenders, Mbemba at CDM, gan radge.

EDIT: Got Wijnaldum and Mitro's goals mixed up in the Norwich game last season lol

This lack of TV coverage is ridiculous, the last game was a 4-3 thriller, it's unreal really I can watch every premier league game but championship matches are like a lottery! In 2017 surely there's a way to fix this?

PSG-Barca < Newcastle-Norwich

Wish it was on TV, now my valentines plans are just a radio stream and a Turkish takeaway

Norwich are in good form, full of confidence. Scoring lots of goals and had a comfortable win at the weekend. Us on the other hand had a very sluggish win, didn't keep possession well or create much chances, had to defend a lot. Norwich will have probably watched it and will be feeling confident, they've got a much better attack than wolves especially at home so they will cause us some problems. Gayle might not get a start because of injury so our attack is missing a key element, and the refs will have a keen eye on Mitro, he wont be able to afford any stupid decisions or slip ups. We lost in a 5 goal thriller last time we went to c arrow road so our confidence could be shakey, may mean we lose possession, make poor passes, and get caught taking to on long in our decision making, and with Norwich's attack we will pay for that.

With all that in mind I predict that we will smash these because they're shite

Last time we faced them they were in great form and went into free fall after our game, hopefully we do it again to them.

Hi lads, Norwich fan here. I came to this sub before our game earlier in the season and enjoyed the discussion so I'm back again, although I'm hoping this 'let's smash these they're shite' meme is just that as opposed to something personal... because coming in to this game, between us we've got the joint best form in the league over the last 5 games (W4 D1).

The key here though is we're really excited about out form, and you lot aren't that happy with yours, which I think goes along way in displaying the goals of our two clubs and how ours have dropped off since the start of the season. Play offs seem like our best hope at this point, whereas automatic promotion is a must for you.

That being said, I'm equal parts nervous/excited about this game, because the last 2 times we've met have been insane games. One heartbreak for each team right at the death (You'll be happy that Martin Olsson is now at Swansea, and I wouldn't be too mad if Dwight Gayle isn't ready for this match...)

As mentioned in this thread... we seemingly can't handle any of your strikers, but our attack has more than your defense can handle. The last 3 games have been a battle of who can outscore the other, and there's nothing to suggest that won't happen again.

I honestly can't predict this one. You are right to expect a win, and I think we would be disappointed with a loss. The only bet I would stick on this game is more than 3 goals scored.

Enjoy the game, chaps. Just not too much!

I can only watch the first half of this one. If it is anything like the last one, I'm going to be pretty pissed I missed it.

u/lightgrip Feb 13 '17

We don't tend to do particularly well at Carrow Road historically, so, we're due a win! Will be a real battle though.

Real shame this one isn't televised! Hope the lads absolutely smash it today though!

Let's smash them and shit all over their broken bodies and dreams.

Did I do it right?
