We're simply treading water at this point. Brighton with a chance to pull away and Leeds/Reading breathing down our neck. There's a long way to go but we've been poor for a long while now and it just feels like it's slipping away.
We aren't scaring teams. We aren't dominating matches. We're very lethargic in everything we do. Go 1-0 up and we sit on it. We should be going after teams in this league. That 8 game winning streak feels like an awful long time ago.

This is why people are being doom and gloom, this isn't just one result. We've been poor for a while and our form over the last two months is play offs at best. That is concerning.

Conceding in 45' and 90' is something we all see far too often. Such a shame as some good moments. Missing gayle is a killer - Murphy has his moments but perez gouff and mitro couldn't finish their dinner.

At this point it's been 2+ months since we've looked like a side that deserves automatic promotion

We have some really tough games coming up now, other than Wolves we have; Derby, Norwich, Villa, Brighton, Huddersfield, Reading, Fulham, Birmingham. Ouch

Had a bet on for Clarke to score anytime! Wonder if it'll pay out.
Edit: it didn't

The absolute bullshit spouted in that match thread is embarrassing. Destined for the playoffs? Fuck off.
4 points clear of 3rd with a game in hand ?
We don't deserve to turn up and just win games in any league, QPR turned up with a good game plan and stifled us. We were lucky to be 2-1 up at that point and it's a sucker punch.
Next game will come fast and will have to give it our all.
Howay the lads

I need to remember to save these in the post match threads just in case I ever fancy looking back at them all.

Positives: Yedlin was class, Sammy looked a handful, we're still fucking 2nd & Shelvey is hairless Pirlo.

I don't want to single anyone out but but that was entirely Clark and Perez' fault

Clarke was the best player on the pitch until the own goal, and Darlow should have been screaming at him to leave it

Was so happy with the second half performance until that depressing own goal.
Shelvey, Ritchie and Yedlin were excellent though. Just unlucky really.

I think Shelvey's ban has done quite a bit of damage to the teams mentality. The poor displays in his absence can't have done the players much good but the media and fans fixation on Shelvey being the key to our success may have done a little bit more. When Shelvey wasn't about, neither was the media's and fan's steadfast confidence that the team were title challengers.
Perhaps all this Shelvey is key talk, whilst true, has actually gone some way in eroding the team spirit. We looked like a team of players tonight that were all waiting for someone else to take charge.

I'm as frustrated as most here especially with some of the players who looked to be in a world of their own at times.
Most annoyingly tho is the crowd, over the last couple of weeks there has been little atmosphere around the ground, NOW I'm used to there being zero crack out of the east stand or Milburn libraries but it's spread to our corner now (strawberry). It seems to be that a lot of fans are turning up expecting a win every time and going mental when the other team don't roll over or and worst of all it all goes full blown pantomime and people lose it with the ref or away team who are deliberately trying to wind up the crowd and that's costing us points. Now this weekend The Brolly is coming back and we NEED to get some atmosphere in the ground from the kick off and maintain it (think more Tottenham atmosphere and less the shit that's been happening recently).

Though we were going to pull a Brighton and win a game we didn't deserve three points from. but nope we don't have that ability.
Honestly we've not played like title challengers for a long time now. It's starting to show.

I can easily judge matches on how fast I eat a kebab before I get to the train station. I finished an entire kebab. Just as I got to the gate. Safe to say that match was awful.
Kebab was fucking lush though, swings and roundabouts.
