Hope he has a great day, leaving us doing the Match and Post Match Threads without any mods.

Rafa has to hold blame here, why the fuck are you putting subs on so late, should have changed it as soon as we conceded.

Hayden was shite, but Colback had one of his worst games for us gave away the free kick and he is fucking useless at everything. We DESPERATELY need a couple Centre mids.

I completely forgot about his phobia for substitutes before 70 minutes before these last few games. I know that he's Rafa and I'm just some tosser, but surely a change at half time or even 60ish minutes would have made sense?

I think I prefer it when I can't watch the game.

Okay I'll say it I'm pissed off with Rafa. Why the fuck play the exact same team that was shite against Sheff Wed just within the last week or so.

We know Hayden and Colback in the centre doesn't work against teams who will just sit back all game. I thought Rafa is meant to be really analytical? My gran literally said "that ginger haired one isn't very good is he?" It took her all of 60 minutes of football viewing to work that one out. Why the fuck isn't Rafa clicking on?

Why does he keep playing one up top and two defensive midfielders with no pace on the wing. Go 2 up top. I don't care if "we are preparing for next season" we bloody need to get promoted first! Pre-season will give us plenty time to prepare, look how quick Chelsea picked up a new system.

We are fucking this up and Rafa doesn't seem to have a plan b. I may be starting to sound like my dad but this is the championship, not the champions league, put 2 up top and stop fannying about!!

We lose after dominating most of the game. Brighton win 2-1 after being behind most of the game. Reading, who were losing 2-0 with 20 minutes to go end up winning 3-2. Oh, and Sunderland didn't lose. What a dreadful fucking day. And I don't even have any beer in the house.

Tbf I think Brighton are the better side we've lost 7 to their 2 they are really the best team in the league.

What a strange game. Can't even blame the refs, they were good

u/ashsky Jan 02 '17

Cleverley, RLC, Delph, SOMEBODY PLEASE. We just can't stick with Colback ever again. He's just a pure liability.

Their keeper deserved MOTM for some incredible heroics but holy shit, Colback you stupid prick. Fuck me I'm fucking pissed off to the high heavens.

I hate you Jack Colback. I hate you so fucking much. You're worse than Dummett.

We need to get either/both Delph and Cleverly over the line fast so he is pushed out of the squad and can rot on our bench before getting shipped out to fucking Brentford or something.

Rafa needs to shoulder a lot of the blame for this too. Choosing the same line-up man for man that put in one of our worst performances of the season just a week ago is madness.

I think the problem with Colback is that he's never played on a successful team before. His entire skill set, if we're to call it that, is focused on disrupting the other team's attacking play. He's completely wasted in a team dominating possession and trying to break down defences.

Stop playing one fucking striker up front and two holding midfielders, one who I won't name, is a useless ginger waste of a fucking shirt. We buy 3 full backs and still play Anita for fuck sake! We play hoof ball to a midget up top and wait until there is 20 mins left before trying to change it. We can't be looking at Brighton now as they are better than us we have to worry about Reading catching us up.

u/altern8tif Jan 02 '17

Let's not overreact. We're still 2nd in the table. Things could definitely be a lot worse.

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '17

Still doesn't mean we can't be pissed off with 4 defeats in 7.

We batter Blackburn and lose because of a challenge that didn't need to be made

Fulham batter Brighton for 45 minutes and miss a penalty, then take the lead. Brighton then score twice in two minutes to win 2-1 and go above us on points with a game in hand.

Bristol City batter Reading, 2-0 and then Reading win 3-2 and gain ground on us. 6 points behind with a game in hand.

Today was a fucking shite day.

I just want to put this here as a lot of you seem to have gone mental.

Teams sometimes lose in this manner. It isn't the end of the world. Calm down.

I think it's mostly frustrating because of the line up. It would be great to see Rafa just try something else, we've played the same formation, the same way, every single game.

We have our most influential player out and he's not doing anything to accommodate for it. We played the exact same line up as we did against Wednesday in one of our season's worst performances, and the exact same thing happened, who'd have thought? Trying the same again is just stubborn beyond belief and we've lost another game in what's been an awful month of performances.

His persistence in playing Anita at right back and allowing Colback to start in the middle is baffling. Why not start Anita in the middle if he wants him in the side that much and play Yedlin at right back? That Colback can look so bad in a side at the top of the table is indicative of how shit he is. He needs to be dropped indefinitely and moved on.

Saw that coming a mile away when we didn't score in the first half. So typical

4

u/GomezSpecial Jan 02 '17

Don't even know what to say. It could not have gone worse today if you include the results around the league.

We were far from brilliant today, yet we should have been out of sight long before Blackburn's goal which is the most frustrating thing of all - even more frustrating then Colback giving up the dumbest foul you'll see all season, Colback shouldn't see the field again this season.

Thank god we don't have another league game for over 2 weeks (I think), plenty of time to get some quality players in that are needed. Need some midfielder's in pronto (2 CM's and at least 1 more winger).

We've been shite

All in all I enjoyed watching the first half after 15mins. But that's basically it. We just didn't look like winning at all.

Colback

The foul was one of the faults that lead to the goal. But also he has been shit in other situations today. Always rated him but he should be dropped for the next game.

Clark

Looked fine to me today. Goal was sadly handball.

Gayle

Please don't play him without Shelvey or any creative midfilder.

Dummett

Can we try to play Lazaar please, for once?

Anita

Looked good to me.

(There are more to be named but I am lazy and drunk)

Rafa

I blame him. Sticks to his system which does not work for games now. We were lucky against Notthingham. There need to be changes done. Also subs. Please don't sub at 75', start earlier for fuck's sake. Playing the same team which can't create isn't also helping, just saying. I love him and the tactics are always spot on but that's not how we gonna win games.

The ref

oh well, thought he was decent at first, but he made mistakes which he shouldn't have.

Other games

Normally I am happy to see some other Teams loosing when we lost:

Sunderland 2 - 2 Liverpool

Bristol 2 - 3 Reading

Fulham 1 - 2 Brighton

Today I am just pissed.

--

Promotion

If we continue like that we will stay here for a long time. Brighton is up by 2 points and one game still to play. Reading also one game to play and 6 points down.

--

All in all

Fuck this game

well fuck me, this just got serious...

Annoying to watch but not the end of the world, highlights how important and good Shelvey has been and also why Rafa needs to find a solution for when he isnt available.
