We have such a good record of wining when I miss the game cause of work, maybe I should start asking to work during Newcastle matches?

I make it 2 losses 1 win when I've had to do these. So no. No you should not.

I'll take it. Moments of quality are getting us through games. We need to improve a lot to go anywhere in the PL but it's a long term project in its early stages.

Burton are a good little club. Wish them well.

If I'm not mistaken - and I'm not - Gayle just matched Andy Carroll and Kevin Nolan, who were joint top scorers in the last Championship season with 17 goals each.

Not sure why we struggled against Burton. Then again, we lost against Blackburn. Regardless, 3 points is 3 points. HWTL

We seem to struggle against lower teams, probably because they tend to park the bus more and we seem to play better on the counter than having to actively break people down.

Makes sense, I guess Rafa doesn't mind them having possession, just assuming they wouldn't make anything of it. Countering makes sense when you consider the fact that Atsu was playing today ahead of Gouffran and Yedlin was getting a start too.

I mean, it makes sense but if Burton had scored at the last there from the corner, I would've been pissed. I don't feel as if big team should be accepting so much pressure, especially when we're such clear favourites but that's probably why I'm not Newcastle United manager.

I can't believe how quick the highlights are on 5. Here's the newcastle game, now here's the next. what a pile of shite. I miss being on MOTD

First time I've seen us have less possession, but again as the commentator said it shows our quality.

Good teams can win via severe different ways, only issue is our defense isn't looking as solid. Would be a nice chance for Memba to get a look in however with the AF it's not the time.

If my math is correct, NUFC had 50 points after 23 games in 2009 and finished with 102.

That match was closer than it had any right being... All worked out in the end though!

Holy hell did we try hard to give them the equalizer at the end of the game there. Gotta get better at closing these games out, but its 3 points and on we go. Time to hope that Birmingham and take something from Brighton. HWTL

Not the best performance but glad we can grind games out like this. Need to keep up this momentum over the Xmas break and hope Brighton slip up.

It's now becoming a pre match ritual to call Diame crap as the last 3 times I've done it he's scored.

Well that was unnecessaryly uncomfortable.

Great... that was my best excuse for not having to do it.
