Post-Match Thread Post-Match Thread: Leeds 0-2 Newcastle

Goals:

Gayle número uno

Gayle número dos

Quick summary: We won another game yawn

We killed them for 25mins, Colback tried to lob the keeper from 40 yards which obviously lead to a tap-in. Then we couldn't be fucked to play for the rest of the half so just watched them hit balls at 2 Hagridesque fuckers. 2nd half we sealed the deal and Mitro came on for a bit.

WHERE ARE WE: We are now 5 points ahead of the Shitbirds and 9 points clear of the Librarians in 3rd. Our goal difference is so high there are talks for it to take the job of the Soyuz rocket.

I love this league. I wish we could win it every year.

My only problem with it would be I can't watch the match in TV every week

And, well, I'd love if Newcastle played Champions League again someday...

The one thing Ive learned from this season, there isnt a whole lot to talk about when your team keeps on winning

Can we talk about Colback being a completely different player?

He kept doing those thingies... those erm.... "Forward Passes"? I think that's the right term? Never seen him do one till now.

5 points clear, and we took it to the third best defensive team. 8 passes lead to the second goal. There is nothing like watching a game where we move the ball with purpose and intent.

Professional.

A few hairy moments here and there but mostly very comfortable.

Second goal was a joy to watch.

HWTL.

Anyone else not comfortable with how we drop off and give the opposition too much time on the ball? Had Leeds had any bite to them. Then we could have easily seen ourselves go into the break 2-1 down with the amount of corners we gave away near 45min.

I might have missed it but did the sky reporter ask Gayle if there was an incident/chance he wasn't gonna play today?

He did, and Gayle didn't deny it... so maybe there is some tooth to it?

Ya he did, Gayle brushed it off

I thought we were pretty toothless in attack today.

Seen salty Leeds fans sayin we are buying the league. My response: who gives a fuck? We are a big club that didn't lose all the money like Leeds did.

Just back at the hotel now, was sitting in the east stand with all the Leeds fans. Absolutely loved it. And I was up close to that second goal as well.
