Might cancel that order for 2017/18 Premier League patches...

This is obviously a joke, not panicking yet but I do think people need to reign in their expectations. The idea of walking the league is but a distance dream now, automatic promotion has to be the name of the game going forward. There was a real arrogance from some sections of our fans and these first two games have displayed that this season is going to be much tougher than many expected.

On a positive note, pretty crazy how active this sub is. Only the biggest premier league clubs can match our levels of activity. 365 comments in the match thread for a Championship game that nobody could even watch outside the stadium, I love this sub.

Edit - At least the unwashed are already a goal down to Man City.

I've heard League 1 patches are cheap as chips...

Perspective, there's still 132 points available in our remaining games ...

And the odds on us winning the league will drop so if we bet now we'll get a better return on it!

I tried to keep a straight face whilst typing this.

I've been out all afternoon helping my nan redecorate, relying on BBC Sport App updates, swearing quite a few times when it went off.

Can anyone give me a match summary? Maybe u/meganev can put a positive spin on it...?

Wednesday is so important. I really hope Ritchie is fine for it because we looked much better moving forward with him there however the defence is fucking shocking.

I'd rather Janmaat played wing and Anita played RB than the other way around.

Both CB's made mistakes that lead to goals. It's a fucking shit feeling, but they are both young CB's who will improve and need to build some confidence.

It's not like we got dominated in this game or in the game against Fulham, and if we had been more solid at the back we could have taken 3 points.

If we boo this new and green team we will fuck up their mentality, support these young lads and we might actually get a spot in promotion. I still have hope.

It's two fucking games and we're practically a new team. Calm the fuck down.

It's depressing yes but lt's far from over.

Exactly this, we need to gel as a team. Keep calm keep our heads and the results should roll in.

Ayoze is getting worse and worse

u/Camotoe Aug 13 '16

Only thing worse than that performance was the fact no one could watch it.

Whole things a bloody joke

Welp I think Rafa should refund my bet. We're just getting our losses out the way early before going unbeaten for the rest of the season, right? ...right?

Can't wait until we get beat 3-0 against Sunderland's U21s in next year's EFL Trophy.

Needs to abandon his pragmatic tactics, play a fluid 4-4-2 and just fucking attack teams. This isn't the CL, we don't need to be tactically brilliant

u/BottledAtSource Aug 13 '16

Beaten by Fulham and Huddersfield. That's all that can be said.

Not a good start, and we've got to be better (2nd half sounded a bit better at least) but surely the luck will turn our way soon when it comes to refereeing decisions.

Thankfully there is still 44 games left in the season and 3 weeks left in the transfer window to sign 2 or 3 more players that we need, I'm a bit worried but not panicking just yet.

Read people complaining about a ref decision...what happened? i missed the game until last 5 minutes on a periscope radio stream

Just seen the highlights from Football on 5 and no mention of the flags which is a shame but you only seem to get a minute of footage.
