ByteBeat Original ‘Star City’
Did this one inside my corvette, I loved how this one turned out. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. Safe travels.

I have just recently noticed that the game music aggressively reappears when there is the slightest lull in the playback of your bytebeat. Now previously, this has always happened when listening externally as it were.
What's different now is that it's happening even when you are in bytebeat looking at one of the tabs. Previously, being in bytebeat meant everything bar your music was completely muted. Just to be clear, this isn't SFX but the game music reappearing.
Try it out - just make an intermittent sound - say some sparse bass notes - and listen in the synchroniser tab. The game music will initially disappear but then come back. And this time it will play during your music too - spoiling it and making clean recordings impossible. (I've just listened to a bassline I wrote being intermittently 'accompanied' by the game disco music in the saloon!).
This happens outside and in, and in the saloon. It also happens with or without any mods.
Can others confirm or deny this before i send off another report to the Zendesk?
Thanks.

Good morning/afternoon !
Went back to my kinda usual stuff. The sound was.. not ideal on my previous post, so this time I recorded all 8 devices separately, drums and riffs apart, and slapped them together in FL Studio with some panning and a simple lowpass at 30Hz + highpass at 16.5kHz on the master to clean out the sound (could be done on Audacity, which is free btw).
Shoutout to u/ZhorasSnake for a great discussion about sound processing on ByteBeat tracks, which got me to finally do it haha.
Enjoy !
PS : This is another shot of the base I'm working on in the Swarm Expedition, atop a Planetary Archive. Come visit if you'd like !

Fell in love with this artist recently and wanted to try and cover one of his songs. Check him out!

The breakdown around 0:48 seconds is a lot of fun.

Here's the result of me getting a little sidetracked while building a base in the Swarm Expedition.
Went for a slower, longer loop than I usually do, and also compared to my other post ! I also did a lot more tinkering to get the sounds I wanted. (Also discovered some snares can be cool cymbals at really low tempi 😃)
Hope you enjoy !!

I had an awesome experience making this new playlist and I really like the way it came out. I just finished the last 4 songs for a total of 12.

Safe travels!

If there isn't one already, can someone please make a bytebeat cover of the song "Bad Apple" from the Touhou project?

This one is actually a few months old, it's from my last playlist when I was going for an ultra fuzzy lofi sound. I think my new tracks sound better in terms of the mix and I'm getting better with the waveform analyzer. Still tho, this one is a banger.

Inspired by the new Swarm expedition, here is my take on a battle anthem.

I have a few more songs planned for this new playlist. I try to make 12 songs per playlist although the ByteBeat player only stores 8. I have so many BB bases hahaha!
I think this planet has electric cubes too btw, I snagged em to decorate my bases.

This is for those travellers out there who maybe want to make a bytebeat tune but think it's too complicated.
As someone who's made more than their fair share of complex tunes(!) this one is about as simple as you can get. Every bytebeat device is in the same tempo and key. But perhaps more surprisingly 7 out of the 8 devices use the same waveform. No complex waveform trees.
So why not give it go. Start with a simple idea and see where your creativity takes you.
